To make refilling the transmission eaiser, go to a marine store and buy a pump that is used to put gear oil into an outdrive. Just remove the fitting that comes on the end of the hose, insert the pump into the bottle and then pump the gear oil into the transmission with very little mess.

This is the response that I got back from Genie about putting a header wrap on;
QUOTE
Hello, Yes it is safe to apply heat wrap, but not advised as the wrap
has a tendency to trap moisture and crystalizes the pipes
over time causing them to crack and fail.

Another option is to get the header ceramic coated.

No, that's not my celica engine, it's a friend of Ivan. And yes, when he installed it maybe he put too much pressure on the flex pipe that's why it cracked. Anyhow, we are sending him a replacement.

QUOTE(Chrobis @ Feb 7, 2005 - 4:24 PM)
Cast Iron Block (3s-gte)
Aluminum Block (5s-fe)

Larger injectors, aggressive ECU... and everything else that the other said. The 3s-gte was designed as a racing engine, where the 5s was designed as a commuter eco engine.

The 5s-fe also has a cast iron block

As pimped6gen said i recieved my header today. The header is at my house in maryland so i will be home friday and will try to have some pics posted on friday or satruday. I will be putting the header on in december when I am home for winter break, since I have some other projects that I want to get done first. I will try to get some dyno numbers from before and after the change and will also post some pics of what it looks like installed on my celica

the factory manifold may be free flowing but with the cat mounted to the manifold there is resistance to exhaust flow less than a foot from the engine. The header is also lighter than the cast iron stock manifold found on celics. with running a supercharger more air is going into the motor so more air is coming out of the motor, so the header will help more with the supercharger that with out one. This is my opinion if it is wrong i don't mind if you correct me.

my main reason for getting the header is because i am going to put the RIPP Mods supercharger on my celica and want a freer flowing exhaust to make the most out of the supercharger and other engine mods that i plan to do.

i believe the header made by pacesetter for the 3sfe does not come with any ports for the oxygen sensor, that is what i got from reading their webpage

the more of you guys that say you want a header the pice may become lower depending on how many people sign up, so stop bitching about the price since this is one of the only companies in the world that make a header for this motor
