QUOTE (rentaspace @ Jan 31, 2014 - 5:55 AM) *
QUOTE (Box @ Jan 31, 2014 - 12:00 AM) *
Decided I'm selling my car again. I just don't drive enough to justify owning a car, nine times out of ten I just catch a ride with someone anyway. Save some $30 a month from insurance and the $20 or so each year for tags. I haven't driven in over a month now, it's madness.

For me to own my car, I have to pay:
- $66.60/month for Third Party Property + Fire and Theft Insurance
- $58.30/month for Compulsory Third Party Insurance (CTP Greenslip)
- $20/month for Registration of my car
- $10/month for the 'privilege' of having personalized number plates
- $33/year safety inspection fee

And this is before I have even driven the car, maintained it or had to repair anything on it...

holy mother thats alot!! i only pay $200 a year here in pr and im good to go

the car is not registered to.me and they are very picky when someone other than the owner applies for that documentation

exactly, they want the papers from the parts car for the vin numbers or else i cant make the car legal for the street. off the subject for a second, the other day in the classified ads i saw someone post a 6gc for 1,400 and labeled it as a 1.6 gt4 model kindasad.gif i felt like calling the owner and call him on his bogus ad

thing is is that the car has no papers whatsoever. the whole front is from another car. the parts car has been junked and it has no papers to register those parts to my car. and the owner of the parts car is missi.g. same thing goes for my actual car, no papers and the owner is nowhere to be found. so its a little frustrating at this point because the dmv is asking for a lot of papers and proofs and whatnot and without the cars papers seems impossible to achieve.

im at a point right now where i have to make decision. my car has been out of comission due to lack of labels, inspection or even a owners title. right now im driving a p.o.s. 84 civic and it constanly gives me heating problems. it was only meant for a short use while i get things sorted out with the celi. but getting the celi's papers has been a complete hassle. ive been using the civic since last oct and its very uncomfortable. i need a change fast. im between keeping the celi and keep trying to find its papers or sell both the celi and the civic and get a more common ca7r like the 7gc. 6gc are a little uncommon where i live so finding a parts car is a drag. currently my celi has the projector headlights, jdm tails, raiser block, jdm power folding mirrors. it is a st model and the last thin i did was the rear disc conversion. any thoughts guys?
