I bought a Koyo Aluminum Racing Radiator a couple months ago and since I'm selling my car now, I'm thinking about swapping the stock one back in and selling the Koyo. This radiator is made for a manual GT and I still have the box for it too. I'm not sure what it's worth but its only been used for a couple months, so if anyone is interested, just post some offers or tell me what it's worth. Thanks.

Seems to be low 40k's to low 50k's depending on options.  To much for an MR2.

Wow, I always thought they were a lot more than that.

Unfortunately your camera uses SmartMedia for the memory card. Since this card is pretty much not being used anymore, the price of it is jacked up. I work at CompUSA and we sell a 128 MB smartmedia card by PNY for $60. Plus, thats the only smartmedia card we sell. a 128 MB secure digital card by the same company is only $20. If you have the extra dough, I'd sell that camera on ebay or something and then buy a new camera since it might be a lost cause for you to spend money on something outdated.

Oh, yea. If you want to juss buy the memory card, I'd buy it online. Retail stores are pure rip offs on memory cards.

They're pretty cheap actually when compared to the other ipods. $300 for the 30 gig and $400 for the 60 gig.

Yea, I was an electrical engineering major who wanted a minor in business. After taking some engineering courses, it just wasn't what I expected. I like to work with people and go around and be in charge of things. I got a co-op position with NASA to help build one of their ground control systems and I thought it was going to be cool, but it was so insanely boring and took up so much of my time. But that's just my opinion, I know people who love doing it too. My major is now business, either general business, finance, or accounting, can't quite decide yet. My suggestion is just find out what you really like to do by trying it out. I wasted a year's worth of money and time by going to an engineering college, but at least now I know what I want to do. Just like how you took some engineering courses, take some graphic design courses too and see how you like them. However, take them at a community college or general university first because that way if you don't like it, you won't be stuck at a school focusing on that subject. It might not seem so bad because you can always transfer out, but generally people don't try hard or care about something they end up not liking. This means you might get bad grades and when you want to transfer, of course you need to boost up your GPA. However, you can only do that by taking the same/similar courses over again and pretty much you waste more time/money. Trust me, don't jump right in, test the water first wink.gif .

Ive seen honda preludes with a body kit and carbon trunk going for a riduculus 7-9K around where I live here and these junk aren't even the DOHC types. Its just insane how most young people will go for these cars these days. I guess what you drive is what you are and if you drove a POS. Than your not gonna be popular.

Simply put, most people don't know anything about cars. If they see something expensive, nice looking, POS engine, then there gonna buy it cause it looks KOOL!

On my trip to Fresno, Cali this spring. I saw many POS looking cars at every corner with crome wheels on and the paint is like faded / rusted. What is with this new upcoming trend? First it was the weed that made everyone addicted and now Chrome Wheels?

Haha, i hate chrome rims on most cars, I think they belong only on muscle cars.

I think you guys are trying to make a stupid point. A mod isnt really going to lower the cars value, your just not going to get the monjey out of it. Its not really worth modding a car to re-sell. But if you have a car moded, IE: lip kit, lowering springs sway bars a few other things, You should be able to get about 50% of the cost out of it.

All in All a car is only worth what someone will pay. Its all about making it atractive and wanted by all.. or most. and yes stupid things like painting the inteior will make it worth less.. but im talking about a real "mod"

Agreed. It may seem overpriced to some people, but to someone else who wanted a car just like that, the price will seem fair, cause what they were going to do anyways is already done.

you do realize that adding all that stuff really doesnt add to the value of the car right? you more than likely wont get your investment back on 90% of it. I'd offer you $3500 for it. it is a 95 with 136k on it. Look at it this way, and insurance company would probably total it if you caused more than $3000 of damage to it.

Yea, I don't expect to get much back from my investment, but compared to how much other people are selling the car for, and what people have offered, it's all been around $6k and up. Plus, i'd like to sell it, but if not, then o well.

Hey guys, I was wondering if there were any bras/covers that would still fit around the front bumper if I have the 404 lip on there. I really want to get something to protect the lip and the bumper and some of the front hood because I drive highway a lot and just got the car painted. Is there anything sold like that, or do I have to bust out the needle, thread, and bandaids to get this done.

Insurance is pretty cheap actually because from what my insurance company tells me, it's usually based upon how much it costs to fix the car. Since our cars are pretty much like camry's/corolla's and easy to get most parts, it shouldn't cost too much. I'm on a plan with my parents and my celica costs about $200 extra for every 6 months added onto their plan.

I'm in Rockville, MD and i'm selling my celica GT too, so PM me or IM me at wuhukf on AIM and i'll tell you more about it and send you pics.

I've tried a few different bluetooth headsets and speakers and I finally bought one today I really like, the Bluespoon AX. I work at Compusa and I've tried everything else we carry, all the motorolas, jabras, belkins, just wireless, and logitech, and I have to say, this is the best one i've tried out of all of them. Extremely comfortable even though it goes in your ear to stay on instead of wraping around like most headsets, and very clear on both ends. Plus, this thing is really small, the size of my thumb from the tip to the next joint, so about an inch and a half. That's just my experience with them and I know quality differs from the phone you use it with too, so my question is, what have you guys tried and liked or disliked?

As for bluetooth speakers, I tried the jabra one and motorola one and even though jabra has better specs, the motorola performed better, but anyone tried any other ones?

how much are you asking for it? would you consider tking some of the stuff off to lower the price? get back asap

Someone around here offered me $7k with the rims. The only thing I'd be willing to take off the car to drop the price is the aftermarket rims because i'm not getting another celi and i'd rather get rid of everything at once. I think i might be able to sell the rims with tires for about $700 though, so I'd be willing to sell the car for $6400 without rims.

Go Honda, you'll never come back.

I'm not a big fan of Honda, if I wanted a well engineered car that looked good with good stock performance and lots of potential for mods, i'd go for a Honda. But to me, Toyota is an overall better/smarter car company and even though reliability is close, Toyota still tends to be more reliable. I mean, look at all the different cars Toyota has offered or still do offer. They aim for the big picture, not just focusing on a certain age group or a group in general with some of their cars. For example, I think the accord and civic look better and are faster than Camry and Corolla, but Toyota designs their cars to appeal to the general public. Camry and Corolla are plain looking, but thats what they're going for. That way it could better suit both a teenage kid and an 80 year old senior. They also offer a lot more cars than Honda too so they pretty much have a car for everyone. Toyota has the ability to design well looking and performing cars, but it seems like they've reserved that stuff for their Lexus line and going to start doing it more with their Scion line. Which, I also think is genius, coming out with a car brand aimed specifically at modifying right at the time when everyone is into modifying new cars. I think its time we all went outside and gave our Toyotas a pat on the back. tongue.gif

Haha, I'd love a RX400 hybrid but that costs wayy too much. Used IS300 and Solara might be good though. I saw a used SC300 for pretty cheap, isn't that the same engine as supra but non turbo?

I've decided to sell the celica but not sure what car to get now. I'd like to stay within the Toyota family and budget isn't a huge deal, but I wouldn't buy a car that costs a whole lot anyways. I'm thinkin about a small truck right now but I really like the Prius a lot too. Any suggestions?

QUOTE(Tweek @ Sep 21, 2005 - 3:50 AM)
I don't see myself getting rid of my celica. I'm just about to touch 200k with it, and it would'nt be worth anything if I sold it. I just can't see selling it for a couple g's. Its been good to me for years, and I still love the way it looks versus all the crap cars they keep coming out with. I'm not big on selling cars anyways. If anything, I'd give it to some young kid to enjoy like I did my last car.

Yea, I agree with that to some extent, cause i know KBB says my car is worth about $4k which isn't much. But i've spent so much money fixing up the car and doing some mods to it, and the longer I keep it, the more money i'm going to pour into it. This isn't exactly an "investment" though because it's a sure bet you're losing money. That's why i'm trying to sell my celi now too, because no matter which way i go, sell or don't sell, i'm gonna be losing money. But at least if I sell it, I can get some of it back and combine it with the extra money I was going to spend on it and buy something I wouldn't want to mod, like a camry or truck. Haha, I really want a truck right now, and there's no way I'm modding an old Toyota Pickup.

I'm thinking about selling my car and I'm not too sure how much to ask for it, but here is some info and pics for it. Below is a modified version of a post I put up to sell the car on another site. Shoot me reasonable offers please, thanks.

This is a 1995 Toyota Celica GT coupe with 136k miles on it. It's a manual car and is in excellent condition. I've spent a lot of money on this car with all the normal maintenance and upgrades and that's not even including the cost of the car. This car is practically brand new with everything done to it. Also, I had all the dents and dings, scratches, and rust repaired and the entire car re-painted with warranty. It looks new and drives new. If I didn't need the money for school, I wouldn't be selling this car at all. Gas mileage on this is great too.

All needed maintenance has been performed on this car:

- First and Second Timing Belt
- Spark Plugs (Bosch Platinum+4)
- Spark Plug Wires (NGK)
- Distributor Cap
- Distributor Rotor
- Brand new battery about 1-2 months old with 3 year replacement warranty
- Valve Cover Gasket
- Throttle Body Gasket
- Coolant Flush
- Oil Flush

There was also some stuff I did to upgrade the car that you get with it:

- Koyo Aluminum Racing Radiator (Retails at over $500)
- Blue LED Gauge lights and Dash Lights
- Window Tint
- Brand New Windshield about 1 week old
- Cold Air Intake with AEM Bypass Valve to prevent hydrolocking (I have stock intake too)
- Short Shifter with custom shifter cover (I have stock shifter too)
- Greddy Weighted Billet Shift Knob (Also have TRD knob, Ichiban knob, and Stock knob)
- Panasonic CD player that's blue and red so it matches the rest of the interior lights
- Custom fitted change dispenser and cup holder under the CD player
- Viper Car Alarm with Keyless Entry
- Nokya Stage II Low Beam bulbs (Helps a lot)
- Nokya Stage II High Beam bulbs (Also helps a lot)
- 3A Racing Fog Lights
- Front Lip and Side Skirts from 404 body kit
- BRAND NEW PAINT JOB only 1 week old, Color is Gunmetal Pearl and comes with 4 YEAR WARRANTY

Car comes with stock GT alloys, but if you give me a good offer, I’ll throw in the wheels you see in the pictures below, which are 17" gunmetal rims with 3 month old tires. That means you get the stock wheels and performance wide tires and the gunmetal ones below so you can switch if you like. I paid $1,000 for those gunmetal wheels and tires and will give you the lug nuts for all the wheels. I'll also throw in a brand new Magnaflow Muffler I was going to put on the car, this thing is still wrapped in plastic and in the original box. I'll also throw in this set of black ground wires I bought and never installed.

PM me, email me at peterquach@gmail.com, or call me at 240-506-4574 with offers please. Thanks for looking.
