Great informative write up with pictures. I too don't know much about the internals of a engine and have been thinking about the cam upgrade. I'm sure there are other things like timing or torque specs when actually installing the cams right? and have you researched on what is needed after installing the cams to get the car to run at full potential?

253,297 on mines and she's still pulling strong! I have a spare 5sfe with under 100K waiting to be swapped in but it doesn't seem like i'll be swapping anytime soon!

I see. Thanks for the info. I'm not planning on going for a hellaflush look but just a flusher look. Wider would be nice but I'm pretty much getting the rims free so i can't complain. Just wanted to make sure they would work.

are my calulations correct?

rims: 17x7 with a 42 offset

front: 42-10: 32mm
rear: 42+8: 50mm

dam, if it's right then i don't see the rims working... better luck spending my money on another set.

I just found out my passenger side 7th gen wheels are slightly bent so I'll be in the market for a new set of wheels and rubber. A buddy of mines has a set of konig's laying around that i might pick up and use. They are 17x7 with a 42 offset, i'm dropped with tein springs, what size tires and spacers would I be looking at getting if I want to have clean look!?

to me the supra looks smaller then the celica's!!!! and the supra's in the center of the picture!

it'd be nice to see a mr2, gt4, and supra parked next to one another....an existing pictures out there like this?!

it's possible to make it work but it's going to take a lot of work. I thought VIS parts weren't too bad... guess i'm wrong.
