When I had it, the Celica's name was Skip.
However, the Murano's name is James, but the only time I ever call it that is when I'm plugging in 'home' on the navigation... tongue.gif

What a cute little dusting. I have frost on my car that's about equal to that. tongue.gif

I wish I was seeing some snow action, even if its just crap snow. I've been seeing days where it barely reaches 30 degrees here in WA- if its going to be that friggen cold it should at least do something... I hate clear winter days/nights.

Dude I know this girl and that car is from our Toyota club:

Weird
LOL -Amy, Tina and Sabrina are in there - I'm surprised Ping isn't

Oh wow... how the hell did that happen?
haha geeze... those pictures are like from 4 years ago... That's kind of embarrassing, I was in high school, and still in the whole awkward phase.
Weird.

I agree with the crate training...
It isn't by all means cruel to keep them crated while youre gone... I've worked in the veterinary business for nearly 3 years now and all my bosses (doctors) suggest the crate as an effective tool. Its safe for them because it keeps them from getting into something that'll hurt them (something poisonous, chewing at wires, eating something they werent suppose to and getting an internal blockage), and your house will thank you too because you won't have a dog tearing your sh*t up. lol The main purpose of them is to give the dog it's own lil space or 'den' where it can always feel safe and relaxed... It can also help with separation anxiety. A crate actually isn't very effective using as punishment only because then you put a fear of the crate into the dog because thats where they go when they get into trouble... If its introduced as a sort of safe haven, your dog would be more than happy to go into it...

Also... maybe consider taking him for a walk so you can tire him out so he won't really have the energy to be destructive. tongue.gif

As much as I loved my Celica, it was just time to move on... frown.gif
It wasn't practical for me anymore, with the body kit and not being able to drive it in certain places without scraping/fear of breaking it clean off... Then weather gets bad in my area from time to time so whenever it snowed I was stranded... It needed a lot of repairs throughout the car (nothing engine wise though cept timing belt) and I didn't want to dump tons of money into just repairs with high mileage and a rebuilt title on an almost 15 year old car... Plus I was wanting to move on for quite some time, I out grew my lil Celica frown.gif
But yeah... I traded it in for an '03 Nissan Murano... I friggen love it, but its no Celica lol

Yeah I agree though, if its going to be sold at a place like that, someone's gonna run my car into the ground in no time... *sigh* Haha thats why I threw it up on here just in case, but well maybe someone will appreciate it and take care of it. Hopefully they'll come to the site, I saw in the pics that they still left a sticker in the windshield from my last job for the parking lot, so I imagine the 6gc stickers are still up. lol

I wasn't expecting to find it if at all...
My Celica /:(

But man... Looks like it made it onto the shadiest of shady dealers... frown.gif Someone should buy it so it stays in the family and won't be trashed... lol It needs work to the body, but has never gave me any mechanical problems whatsoever...

I still miss my Celica... frown.gif I hope he goes to a good home...

Just wanted to say that I was just down in Oregon going to Seaside and realized that Fort Stevens was only like 10 minutes away so we went to check it out and for those who havent been there it was really cool.
It looks like a great place to stay and have the meet, there's lots to see, lots to explore... You all will have a great time biggrin.gif

This happened back in January when major flooding hit my area... lol We only got 7 inches in our house which was nothing compared to this.

OUCH.
I drive by this mess everyday on my way to work and finally stopped to get pictures...

I had my reasons for picking the Murano.
I wanted something bigger, instead of being in a crammed little car, I wanted something with AWD or 4WD just to have when the weather gets bad, I have a big dog that I like to take hiking, and places in general but she's too big to jam into the back of the Celica (100lb+ Alaskan Malamute)- so hence the more room lol Just something a little more practical for me. smile.gif

thank you everyone! smile.gif
Its a beautiful car... Navigation, leather interior, heated seats, Bose stereo system, it handles incredibly for how big it is... I'm really happy with it. Its just getting over the celica now...

Oh and I'm not leaving you guys just because I got something else... I love yall too much wink.gif

Thank you everyone smile.gif
I'm still incredibly sad about it, because I seriously loved that car...

Oh and believe me, I couldn't sleep at all last night... I'm still so bent out of shape about it, that I almost was feeling it like it was mistake... Then this is what I woke up to this morning:

annnnd i have work this morning, in the most hilly area imaginable... wink.gif

It finally happened...
And it broke my heart saying goodbye to all my work and pride. frown.gif

I dunno if I made it apparent or not, but I actually have been on the lookout for quite some time. The Celica has just been falling apart. Basically I was keeping my eyes out on something that was bigger and more spacious, and had AWD or 4WD because where I live the weather can be crap to get around in. There were a few different kind of cars that I had my eye on, and I looked into them pretty well, it was just waiting around to see when the right one came along - and well it finally happened.

I'm now the proud owner of a 2003 Nissan Murano.
I absolutely adore it, but I will always miss my Celica. I nearly cried when deciding, but when the choice was made I knew right away it was for the better. Hell, I even kissed the damn car goodbye, because I'm just that cool... laugh.gif

I'll get pics of my new toy here in a bit.
Thank you to all those who helped me along the way, and open my eyes to the beauty of it. I kept my car for nearly 5 years, it was my first car, and it will always have a place in my heart. And I'm not leaving you guys, I'll still drop by, I love this community, you all have been wonderful to me.
