The story- This is an old project of mine orginally built to be a test car for the products I make.
We've moved on to other fields since construction.

The skinny-

-2nd gen 160HP 3SGE
Mods-
Completely rebuilt with OEM parts including oil pump, water pump, belts, bearings, TTE headgasket.
Head- 3 angle valve job, shim adjustment, full port/polish, matched.
Bottom end- 8.8:1 Wiseco pistons/rings/locks, Eagle rods, 3SGTE oil sqirters, brand new OEM crank, ARP studs
Intake mani- MA70 60mm TB, 4 additional injectors under the mani, Factory dual plenum setup
500 break-in miles since build

-Turbo system
.50 trim T3/T04E .63A/R stg. 3 turbine, blacked out FMIC, 3SGTE mani with adapter, 2.5 DP, 3" exhaust, JGS 40mm WG, WG dump, JGS bypass valve.
-Engine managment
AEM SW20 ECU, stock 310cc injectors, 460cc secondary injectors, Aeromotive regulator, TTsupra fuel pump, Autometer gauges (fuel pressure, oil pressure, AFR,boost), AEM WB02, PS92 crane coil, magnacore wires,
Mallory fuel billet fuel filter, braided 6an fuel lines.

-Drive train
97 S series trans with 3SGTE clutch, Heavy duty E series 98+ Camary trans included

Points of interest-
Cruise control works, A/C is there and should work with a good charge, manual locks and windows. Susp. Tech sway bars, Eibach springs, GT rear disc brakes, braided brake lines (not installed).

Negatives-
Roof dented do to hood accident, air bags need replaced from old accident (no major unibody damage, airbags included), hood is black (again accident), minor dents and scratches on the front fenders. Needs TLC.

Would make a good base for a weekend racer as it was orginally an ST/Base so its very light. OR could be stripped to be installed in any celica and the car could be parted/scrapped...
Its runs and drives in its current state, has commuter tires on 5th gen wheels.

I will do current pics for SERIOUS buyers.

Looking for $5000, thats about 50% the cost of the drivetrain alone (like I said car included free).
My lack of time is your gain.

Some of the older member here, if their still here may remember this car.

BTW- its a blue 94 hatch

Well, I'm not running leaded yet... if I do the seperate race gas setup, I'll be adding a cut-out pre cat. High boost + race gas + cut-out = intoxicating.
biggrin.gif
But its hard to worry about it too much until I get some miles on it frown.gif
I'd be driving it more but its raining ALOT.

If your on the stock turbo with stock lines (assuming your oil drain line isn't plugged)... you turbo may need service. And its not the seals that are normally the problem... if any of the bearings are worn or even just a little groove will make a seriously smokey turbo if left unchecked. It can feel plenty tight and still smoke like hell (feeling the clearance is a big waste of time anyhow).

It was easier at the time to run dual injectors, we had all the parts and a rail that worked. Also the stock injection location leaves something to be desired, under runner injection is less of an restriction to air flow. Not to mention is lets you run insane injectors without the crappy low pulse width flow pattern... IE less dynamic hicups.

Also I have some other plans as well, I maybe adding a cell, additional pump, second reg., and return line. The second tank would be loaded with 120 oct and with the AEM you can transition from the primary injectors to the secondary injectors...
Its basically a dynamic way of switching from crap gas to race gas under load smile.gif Saving that $5 gal. race gas (with its sensor munching lead) for only when required by boost pressure biggrin.gif

A little complicated and high-tech but who wants to be dull tongue.gif .

Huh? A supra TT pump is good for 500-600HP, it doesn't matter how many injectors. Its just like running a V8- 8 injectors, 1 pump, 1 regulator. I feed the larger 2nd rail first then the OEM 3SGE rail then its outlet goes to the regulator. The way its now is good for 400-450WHP.

I added a second fuel rail and injectors under the intake manifold...
I have a pic somewhere I will see if I can post it.

Yup, and the S-53 is just for the break-in...
I have a NICE E-153 ready to have a Quaife ATB diff. installed, when funds are sufficent ($1245 is a good chunk of change with X-mas comming).

I think the 2nd gen was rated at 165HP and the 3rd gen was 174 HP...

I had to completely hack off my 7AFE ecu plugs and extend every wire frown.gif
Took me 2-3 days because I also whipped out the dynomo and labled every wire smile.gif LOTS of solder and heat shrink.
I had to put mine AEM in the glove box because it would not fit under the dash frown.gif hence the extensions.
But its very nice having the ECU in the glove box, easy access.

Are you using the aem standalone?

Yup, I wired in MR2 ecu plugs and swaped some wire in my harness.
I like it alot so far, then again I'm a tech-head and its about as techy as it gets smile.gif

Thats hot, what year and gen is the engine??

Good question... not sure the year. It is a 2nd gen 3SGE which I believe came in the Jspec 5th gen.
Its really my idea of the perfect 3SGTE smile.gif
Dual mode intake (opening a second plentum down stream effectively negates the runners up stream)
Same valve train hardware as the USDM (for replacement, the 3rd gen are very different).
N/A cams for higher rpm performance
Higher velocity ports

The only thing its lacking is VVT, hmmm...But I don't think I have enough room for the VVT actuator frown.gif

I was born and raised in Reedsport!  I go to coos bay all the time... that is awesome!  I am coming to coos bay in a week or so.. is there ANY way I could come take pictures and drool over your setup?!

I do tours biggrin.gif
I can be found at the old sumner elem. school M-F 9-4pm, call if you need directions.

Update: just went for a drive with new trans, it goes and stops (rear disc conversion). The initial thrill is over, I'm hungry for more boost smile.gif Got to get those breakin miles out of the way mad.gif

Great work!!!... Superb effort!!!!

IMHO.... An additional engine oil cooler would be some help to your engine health in the long run.
By the way, what's your engine oil temp at the moment??

Cheers...

I'm still using the stock coolant based oil cooler (its actually relocated with the filter). Haven't had a chance to make a place to install my oil temp gauge but coolant temp is sitting at 185 max.
I'm also all out of room for an oil cooler frown.gif I would like to put on the GT4 bumber/hood... that would leave a good place for one + cooling vents smile.gif

If anybody close is interested in checking it out I can be contacted thru my business, www.jgsturbo.com

Naw, no snow here...
Don't think I'll be doing any full power runs though wink.gif
I've even had to drop my mod SRT4 to 15psi unless its real warm out frown.gif Its still awsome to rev it and run through the gears though...
those stock N/A cams sound awesome smile.gif The port job seems to be done for velocity because even though its low comp. off boost perfomance is awesome. The AEM is awsome as well, one drive and I had a good functional map.

18-20psi on 92, depending on deto thresholds...
Race gas? 27-30psi should do nicely biggrin.gif

LOL! Me and that laptop go waaay back....and its been doing an ok job so far, serial connections only go so fast.
Still breaking in the fresh motor... if I want to dyno it, I'll have to buy one because they don't exist on the sothern oregon coast and I don't have time to head north. I'm working on the "buy one" part.
Other than that it feels real nice for only 5psi and limited RPM... Should beat my big turbo SRT4.
