Hello every im having a really annoying issue with my ebrake. About two months ago my friend did a drum to disk conversion. after the conversation he attempted to tighten the ebrake with very little success. He took off the exhaust off and everything so he doesnt know what to do at this point. This ebrake is way to loose and it needs to be tight. What should we do? How could we get this ebrake tight?

QUOTE (GriffGirl @ Feb 11, 2010 - 8:17 PM) *
For the amount of money and hassle it takes to do the valve seals, on an engine w/ 264k miles on it, it's just not worth it. OP is definitely better off just replacing the motor.

I've got a 7A w/approximately 120k miles on it (90k when it was put in 2 years ago), runs great, extremely well maintained, it's my DD. No major leaks at all, burns about a quart of oil every 3k miles (pretty standard for a 7a) Hoping to have it FS this summer, if you don't find anything let me know. I have NO idea how much it costs to ship a motor though, but that can be figured out pretty easily.

Thanks I definitly let you know but in the mean time does anyone else have any info?

alright cool thanks so where is a place to get one of them? like a website or can i get them at a in town shop or the dealer?

you can go to www.partznet.com and either order it there, or print the page with the price and go to your local dealer.
most of the time your local dealer will price match the cheaper online dealers.

Im looking to get a clutch myself and i was wondering where a can get an oem clutch for a good price?

Hi everyone im worried that my front caliper might have issues. I have alot of brake dust just from the one driver side brake caliper and sometimes it makes this squeaking noise. Braking still works fine but I noticed that the car sometime does not move while in sitting in neutral. Also my the rotor looks alot more worn out on the drivers side than on the other side. What do you think is wrong and if there is can it be an easy fix?

Today My timing belt broke on me. I had it replace back in winter and it broke again. I have 220k miles on that motor, the oil pan leak, and it burns oil. So instead of me putting out more money to get it fixed I should just get a new motor. I want another 7afe with but I dont know where to find one for a good price. Also should I use my old trans but just put in a new clutch or should I just get a new trans?

Whats the first thing to break on stock 7afe internals with a turbo? Im debating if I should buy a new 7afe than turbo or rebuild my current 7a with 219k miles on it and than turbo. I want to do what ever cheapest and or realible.

I need a plastic cover from my tweeter on the driver side. I just got done installing my tweeters then I sat on the cover and broke off the small plastic piece that holds the cover in place. I used super and It worked for a minute but the intense heat in my car melted the glue frown.gif. So I just need a new one. If anyone has one or knows a place where I could get another one please tell me.
