Canada eh? if only... lol... I'm not knocking the ST so much as I'm missing my old GT... it was a complete beater with 246K on it but it ran a lot better than my ST... maybe its past experiences that's controlling me... lol... At any rate, I've kinda decided on a GT in Ohio... blown motor but comes with a spare... Hopefully all plays out alright... I do appreciate the info though...

BTW, how solid is the 4A? haven't read up on them too much...

bump...

got a few emails... thanks to those who sent them... I've been looking at MR2s as well... I've found a few with blown motors for cheap... lol... What's y'alls oppinions on them? I read a lot of feedback from the MR2 guys, but they love those cars... Curious if anyone has anything bad to say? Still want a Celica, but been exploring other possibilities... any info would be greatly appreciated...

That would probably be a little too far out of my range... I work 6 days a week for 12 hours at a time and its impossible to get time off... I got vacation time coming up in mid-September, but I was kinda lookin for something I could get get on a long weekend road trip.... also been looking into MR2s... Both are kinda hard to find, in running condition... lol... I could snatch a 5th gen Celi for cheap... but.... eh... We shall see... I appreciate the help though, folks... :-P

I've been searching all over craigslist. It's a wonderful place, don't get me wrong, but I'm not finding a whole lot... I check it three times a day, in a span of six nearby states, north to south and east to west, every town listed on there. The ones I find are mostly trashed beyond the point of being worth buying. I figured I'd post on here too and try and get some of y'all's help. I have noticed though that Ohio seems to be the midwest Celica heaven, a dime a dozen, so I have been concentrating my efforts there.

I am curious as to what other regions are good for finding a Celica? Washington is heavily populated it seems too, but that's definitely out of the question as far as driving... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

Used to work at a 'yota dealer as a porter/detailer but got fired cause I called my boss some nasty things on the intra-nets (Xanga)... It was a dream job, kinda... I was hoping to be there long enough to get my dream car and maybe move up in the world... yeah, that changed....

I have been working at the Ford dealer across the street for the last 3 years-ish as a light repair tech/lube biatch... Its a decent job, but money sucks... Its funny because they always make pages whenever Ford beats Toyota at something... sad to say but I enjoy Ford's direction overall compared to 'yotas... I guess I'm just tired of all the family oriented crap that Toyota is coming out with, meanwhile other companies are puting decent time and money into performance cars...

Maybe one day...

so me and my buddy have been playing this forza 2 lately (older game i know) but i personally like it a lot... could use a bit more visual customizing (ala midnight club: dub) but still very enjoyable...

only thing i dont like is the 5+ lap races... its boring as hell... i think its pretty accurate as far as the cars and the actual driving go...

im curious what are some other good racing games... im a fan of dub edition, just because its faster paced/unrealistic and i like the overall customizing you can do to the rides...

GT4 (the game not the car) has super slow gameplay and i just cant handle that... cool though how it has miles and the fact that oil changes are a necessity... :-P

anyways, what be your thoughts? bowdown.gif

Personally I thought the video was stupid... the TRD thing stuck out...

that, and the fact that the guy in the replica gt40 was using a GM motor... just goes to show you that no one trusts ford

Really? Well if you do drop in the 3SGTE into a 'rolla, keep me updated and let me know how it goes.

I figured the Camry would be the simpler drop, since its already got same mounts as a GT/GT-Four... I checked out some of your swaps man and you are nuts. lol. Gotta give you thumbsup.gif

This is the last video I'm gonna post and I want you guys to check it out...

http://youtube.com/watch?v=UjAx7SwY9xU&search=skyline%20vs

Its a Skyline going toe to toe with a Ford GT............

Pay very close attention around the 1:10 minute mark and look at the sticker near the front wheel..........

As Ricer Boy would say, "A case of mistaken identity"..... enjoy

Sorry if its a repost. As far as the 205 goes, nothing against it or anyone here. Just I figured that itd strike more of an interest on alltrac.net, where its 95% All-Tracs and GT-Fours. Honestly, I wish the US got the ST205. Lord knows it would make an Evo seem like pile of weak garbage... You can't beat Toyota's reliablilty and no one can scoff at what they have accomplished. What pisses me off is that mfing Toyota has gotten rid of every single sporty car in their lineup.

That's the equivalent of the WWF losing Austin, the Rock, and Brock Lesnar within the course of 2 years....

if anyone gets that, props to you.
