Hi, when I start my car it's up and running just fine: the temperature gradually increases to an optimal level. However, when I start driving at high speeds, my temperature mysteriously drops down to the lowest level. It goes back up when it is stopped. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my car? A leaking vacuum hose etc will allow too much air into the intake side of the throttle body which will result in a high idle. Check all your hoses etc first.Gary i checked all of the vacuum hoses soo thats not it and also i tried giving some slack in the throttle cable i even tried doing the sea foam just half an hour ago and was wondering is it a good thing or bad thing that there was no smoke coming out of the exhaust because alot of people said there would be alot of smoke coming out, i just felt a little bit of power thats all |

Does anyone out there know how to tweak the idle speed for the 5s-FE? I couldn't finish my emissions test because my idle speed was at 2200 rpm, I am trying to lower the value. Any expertise would be gladly appreciated. 750? Thanks, but that's not the main point. |

wats seafoam has to do with this and the normal idle is 800 to about 1000 |
