If any of you are in the L.A. area I might be taking it out with my school on March 3rd at Irwindale's Thursday Night Thunder.

I am currently playing with mine since I want to turn them all blue. I think it can be done, but I will see. I thank fully have a whole lab to play with all the weirdness that I can come up with.

If I do figure it out I will try to make a how-to for you guys I think everyone might like that. It might be a while since I am still finishing a fully electric drag racing porsche

If you use WD-40 it might work, but it might later have the same problem since it evaporates. You might just want to give it a try.

It is a white grease that is probably teflon grease. You could probably add it to the shaft of the antenna when it is up, but it might not work as well if you had taken it all a part. I guess it would work.

I had the same problem twice. First it was the drivers side. Then the passanger side. I do know that the sensor is a halleffect sensor that reads a magnet as it goes by. When the magnet goes by the sensor sends a ground pulse. There sound be three wires to it. One is positive, one is negative and the other is only negative when the magnite is present.

I had to cut and make my own wiring harness when I put my Alpine in. I could try and find the wire colors for the speakers, but other then that I don't remember what colors the others are. Also about the iPod, Alpine so far has a system that will work great with an iPod if you are still looking.

To grease the antenna you need to take it out and open it up. If it just needs grease then this is worth it to just take off the inside panel and take out the antenna. Then just open up the case and add some grease.

Otherwise just get a new one. They tend to go out all the time. I just turned mine to a manual one and saved my self some $$$

An Internal/external temp sensor is cool, but not need for the celica. I admite it is cool looking, but since my celica is limited on space I think I will pass. I you are thinking about mounting it I would say that the cigarette lighter and ash tray space might be your best bet to place that.

As a side note I made the set-up for those subs to all the manufaturer specs and I even made it so that I could get the spare tire out as you can see.

All I have to say is that if you are going for sound and are trying to figure out if you should get components or coaxial. Components sound better because the voice coil is not being interfered with by the tweeters. Other then that for someone new to the sounds world won't really care much at first driving any speakers off the HU, but you will notice later if you by a 4 channel amp........speaking of which I need to install mine one of these days.

You really don't need a volt meter soloy on your amp. It the voltage drops you will definetly notice it and it won't be because of your amp. You might want to know when you first hook-up the system how many amps you are drawing and then know if your alternater can replenish that amount.

If you are going to drop the comp. then you will lose power. So if you are going to wait a while then you might want to think about this. Also if you aren't going over about 7-9 pounds of boost then you can still run stock comp. You just need to get stronger pistons so that they don't wear out sooner. Other then that go with a re-build kit from toyota or find a company that can help you out with making your own re-build kit.

I finally had mine go out after 270,000 miles and the first signes were the creases at the top and then finally it blow open and leaked everything out. I did replace it with an aluminum and plastic one and I love it. The temp never even changes when I am going balls out in the desert and with the A/C blasting. It didn't even flinch.

The Box that I made goes against the back of wall of the trunk and you still can get the spare tire out if you need.

I had an Alpine in my car and it just got stollen last month and I am thinking about what to get. I am probably going to go and get another alpine since they just came out with a system to connect and control and Apple iPod.

I will say that eclipse is also up there. I just don't like the look as much.
