Sorry it's been raining hard here the last few days, haven't gotten more pictures. Agreed on the rust. Not a big deal for some people, but the exterior CAN be telling of the mechanics. I think this is appropriately priced, but like you said slavie, hard to find buyers for a sporty 2dr in November. smile.gif

damn it....if it wasn't for that rust i'd be all over it. Can you post up pics of said rust?

Yeah I'll try to get closer pics today or tomorrow for you. Unfortunately Wisconsin isn't too friendly to old cars...it had a little spot on each door and wheel well when I bought it two years ago and it got a bit worse. frown.gif

Hey all, just got pointed over to this thread from the Midwest meet up. That's all the way down in Chicago, not feeling that! Do you guys do a spring meet at all? I'd love to get together and see some other celicas! What say you? Rose needs some friends... smile.gif

Whoa, that's a ways out! I'd love to make it, but am already going to another meet the prior weekend for my bike. Are there ever any meetups in the Twin Cities area at all?

Dude, you can buy a new one for under 100 bucks on ebay.
The repair will fail. Its only a matter of time and you'll be wasting money on kits or glues that could go towards your radiator.

Point.

Do I need to worry about getting one with some crazy political cap, or one that won't mount my fans? Most the ones on ebay don't have dimensions for those things...

I wished I would've replaced mine with an all aluminum one....

Did a repair fail, or why?

QUOTE (Box @ Jul 29, 2013 - 11:57 PM) *
I was able to patch mine with liquid epoxy. There're actual radiator repair kits out as well. Could also plastic weld it, which is what a repair shop would do. If you're keeping the car OEM and aren't going to run forced induction or swapping out the engine then there's no need to use anything other than the OEM radiator.

I might as well try a patch before I rip it out and replace it. Is there a high temp epoxy that you used? Or the normal stuff from the hardware store.

Ok, looks like I'll start shopping.

Any specific ones to stay away from? Used a bad option?

Also, can I drive it on short trips as long as the temp doesn't get too high? Or will I risk blowing something up.

Yeah, being that it's plastic, I thought maybe fiberglass.

How much do those run for? Have a link by chance?

So, I have a hairline crack on my radiator, just to the left of the cap on top. Is this fixable? Was steaming like crazy this morning and found it to be cracked... can I fiberglass it? Or do I need a new radiator... how much is the whole thing?

I have a trunk lever, $25 shipped. PM me thanks

Thanks for the replies, all.

Is that just the lever, or how does it disassemble/attach? It could be my cable that is binding somewhere, causing un-needed stress on the lever. Who knows...

I am trying to address these three issues, just bought the car. Great shape, new tires, new brakes, 175k, for $500. Hell of a deal...

Anyway, the sunroof pops up, but does nothing when I use the switch to slide it back...any ideas?

Also, the trunk lever has been broken and glued several times by POs, and it is once again broken by me. The key cylinder is also jammed, and quick fixes for the cylinder or how much I can get a new lever for?

Thanks,
D
