So im confused - i was reading some posts and i came across one that talked about how nos is completly flammable - well i was curious and i looked around in some more posts and it seems that a lot of people think Nos is flammable - but.. it isnt is it? it basically is oxygen that when heated to 565 degrees' it expands and creates an assload more oxygen and cools things down?

Also - I had heard of Water Injected Engines - well i was really curious as to what the heck that means - the last i heard of it was on a 3s-gte swap someone was doing and they found out thier version was water injected? What is that??
wouldnt you use antifreeze if it was used to keep temps down? ??

thanks in advance - sorry if this has been answered - i looked around for a while

finals have been going on this week for me - been doing a **** ton of studying - and if your having problems concentrating leave the room and go to a different room with less distractors present. the computer is a huge distractor so stay away from it!!
3 finals down 3 to go!
damn this 21 credit ****

thats absolutley awesome man - i build comps all the time - my only question to you is where do you have the exhaust fans hooked up?? unless you got water cooling which in this case i would think would be very stupid - also what about shock reduction? do you have any?
looks great keep up the good work.

Alright i searched through the seafoam posts. i went to napa - talked to the store salesmen about it, and he said it will do nothing on my car because its an acura and acuras dont need seafoam..
now.. personally i think this guy is a moron.. but... since im not a car god or even a car idiot - i am a car moron - i thought id ask you guys... the acura's have a freaking honda motor... my car has 196,000 miles on it and a mild oil leak - anyhow its been running *rough* if you'll follow still quick but its rough anyhow i wanted to see if it'd help my car out till this guy...
anyhow - is he right?? (im almost positive he's not and he's an absolute moron but...)
secondly - i am a moron as i said so remember =) where do i put it - i got the gas tank and the oil the one im fuzzy on is the crankcase (as i dont know where that is) and through a vacuum hose?? ?? throttle body?? i have a K&N air intake - which kicks ass btw - but where do i put this stuff?
thanks and sorry for the semi similar questions...

yea man i read his post - and whilst i dont know what that is like i can understand him through his eyes. But what i was saying is that howcome you automatically assume it was because of race that the cop came up to him?
Its like an istantaneous reaction whenever you get in trouble - and thats what im arguing against - Question - when you say you got pulled over because they assumed you were hispanic and they made a pull at a traffic stop and made you two hours late.. did they come up to you and go, hey your hispanic and start grilling you? why do you think it was because your skin is red?
and i understand your point about you being on the highway and everyone know's they've been stupid at some point - my question is when is it going to end, i know you say you have the knack of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but id like to rephrase that and say doing the wrong thing at the wrong time =) highway or not, its unsafe - though ill admit id rather have it done on the highway - i live in montana and they are WIDE OPEN no cars so there would be little chance id be next to you =)
going to class will post when i get back

Interesting posts here.. thought id add my own opinions.. which is what all of this is really - opinion, personal bias, perspective. no matter how much you may think you are untouched... sorry you are. who you are colors what you see no matter how hard you try. obviously steps can be taken to minimize this but the fact of the matter still presides.
first off .. the guy whose had 14 tickets in 4 years, and claims he is a good driver is just wrong. absolutely wrong. And I realize that you haven’t been in an accident – but, continue driving as you do, and you will. Of course i realize that you think you are singled out for being a certain race - and of course it happens. but 14 times is a few too many. i can understand one, two, three but your getting up there in 14 tickets. i hope to god i never drive near you. secondly.. being a computer science major.. flaunting about being someone with an a+ certification is something you'd only get away with if no one knew what an a+ certification is.. try a ccna or a ccie or some kind of networking degree- or **** maybe even a degree in computers? Maybe that should cater some respect – but anyone with a very minimal knowledge of computers can garner an a+ certification… its nothing to flaunt that you can outsmart someone with one. anyhow..
being white - i may not have the same view you do, but, all of you who think racism is not an issue in this world, read The Racial Contract by charles w mills. His thoughts are both highly intelligent and interesting.
but those of you who think racism is rampantly affecting all of those tickets you are getting... seriously come on, try this, examine what you were doing. Yes ive been a highschooler - ive gotten tickets that i swear i shouldnt have. Yet – that was cause I was so wrapped up in too many other things especially the inability to take responsibility of my own actions to admit I was wrong. though the fact of the matter is, Yea maybe there are some more dangerous people out there driving who arent getting ticketed. but excessive speeding is a trait of a BAD DRIVER, no matter how much you think you are in control you are still going too fast and thus you are behaving in an insafe manner.
cops are not all out there just to push a quota. they are there number one to protect the people. No you driving 85 in a 35 are not being safe, no matter how "in control" you think you are, the faster you are going the longer it takes to stop. so the cop that gets your stupid ass off the street - is the cop that saves my life when i turn a right and dont expect you to be a dumbass and speed so excessively. Cops are also there to make money. it is their job to find and fine those who are breaking the law, they dont have to imagine people breaking the law because think of how many unlawful people are in this world.
also im sure you didnt know this about the rodney king beating which spurred the city of LA into a rather LARGE riot (id say) was that rodney was on PCP and cocaine among various other drugs. for those of you who do not know what PCP is - think of this - PCP users DO NOT FEEL PAIN, you can whack them with the nightstick all you want, but if you want to get someone to the point where they are no longer a harm to you - you have to BREAK their bones and tear their muscles so they can no longer physically USE them.
Now - I dont know about you that have seen the video - but it definitely seems to me that they could have thrown rodney in handcuffs and he would have ceased to have been so much of a threat or some kind of more peaceful approach. also - an FYI it took 3 plastic surgeons to put his face back to its original state- and even so it wasent fully rodney's face anymore. If you guys want to learn some facts about the rodney king beating - pick up anna deavere smith's novel TWILIGHT its really a good recounting of many different view points of many different races which were involved in the riot.
also - micheal moore is and interesting thing - as a non bush supporter - i will not lie and say that i am not biased. but micheal does raise some interesting questions and his stories on how the truth could have really fallen into action really is scary how perfectly some of the pieces fit. some of the points micheal makes are just lucridous - for example - he slams bush for not acting for 7 min after the first plane hit on 9/11 - what i believe he fails to realize is - picture yourself in that situation - would you be like OH NO! - well i had a PLAN should this happen! say you hear some really bad news- like your father has died - do you immediately go - alright well the funeral will be on sunday - lets get flowers and start going off on what you need to do? no. you go, ****....
my.. dad is gone or handle it your own way but its rare to find someone who is spurred into action by such an event such as that.
Yes i know this is far gone from the topic of corrupt police but i enjoy allowing my ideas to be read and criticized because i will not be a person who follows multiplist thinking.

alright - the guy who was talking to his girlfriend and the cop came over - i really dont understand what your mad at... if he had been anything other than questioning maybe i could understand your anger. You are so blinded by the thought that he came over purely because of your race you have forgotten the entire reason he came over at all was to make sure the lady was alright – sitting in a parking lot and talking IS a bit suspicious if you think about it go to a park or better yet – go home and talk anywhere but a fast food restaurant parking lot..… so – stop your quick to anger cause a cop has taken interest in you - rather think of what he assuring – the safety of the women of our country – don’t automatically assume every slight injustice upon you was because your race.
A lot of times this injustice cry against cops can really be thought out in a much more logical manner than automatically placing the blame on your race, or that the cop hadn’t gotten laid the night before or whatever. That’s just bull**** btw..
If a cop needs to get by you and he flashes his lights so you’ll move – move, don’t whine about it, you don’t know the situation, don’t criticize it – its just stupid to assume that he was doing it just to get another spot ahead of you in traffic.. do you assume that only because you’d do it? From whence does this idea come from…

Alls I’m asking people to begin doing – is think – and I’m sorry if my essay to you all wasn’t coherent I must say I am quite tired anyhow
Rip me apart as you wish – but do it civilly I don’t feel like drawing out a petty fight of words from people with over inflated egos …

Having done extensive research and owning niether of the cars i feel as if i can offer some truley unbiased information -
First off - the 3s-gte is one of the best I4's out there. period. You see the amounts of times they are used in Toyota's racing cars, you see the supra engine being pulled out and an 3s-gte put in, you know its a good engine.
On a standing start though - a 3s without lsd will lose to the acura given the figures, weight. mainly because yea - the 3s has the power, but it cant put it to the ground - the acura has less power - but it will be throwing all it has to the floor immediately. The acura is lighter and as ive seen several people post - their N/A engines are phenominal. Now - i have every expectation that come the end of second and 3rd and so on the 3s-gte will absolutly begin taking back lost ground.
also - correct me if im wrong but does it not sound odd that you would lose so much horsepower in the translation of hp - whp. for instance the second gen 3s-gte puts out 225 horse and to tell me it would only be putting 160 whp to the ground sounds a bit out of place.

When i get money i am most definetely doing a 3s swap as it is an extremely formidible engine.
over and out

id never get an automatic - it keeps you away from the experience of driving the car - its more a sharing the experience with an auto than living the experience with a manual =)
plus i mean.. you can just have so much more fun/control over a manual..!

Its really funny - i decided to read this post tonight - as i was very very bored. The guy - Tuan - carries all the traits of a typical scammer - first
He's got a product thats TOO good to be true!!! then he has all the difficult to obtain proof (people recommending his work on another site) Then he has a friend come in and talk up his work (Ivan) does a great job really - i mean its convincing and all, yet he messed up - where did he go wrong ? does anyone know? I know this is useless and he may come back and sell this.. but i highly doubt its a legit product and i did so ever since i started reading the post =)
I am interested to see if people came up with the same conclusion where he messed up as i did
so reply to this!

As for a response to your question - Will you notice and HP/Torque gain?
Probably not - but most likely the horse/torque you have will be better displayed =)
My mechanic told me this about tune ups. "Ive done tune ups on cars that hadent been tuned in 100,000 miles - they noticed no difference, Ive done tune ups on an overactive kid who had only driven 20,000 miles, he actually noticed a large difference in both his pickup speed and his throttle response among other items.(this could be all perspective gain as its possible he wanted to feel the difference so much - he did) To me that defy's logic - but if you think your car should get a tune up - go for it, you'll have better assurances of your car working down the road but there is no way to garauntee better operation of your vehicle"

My friend broke my glove box a while ago - and the little metal peice that held the glove box up broke - i was wondering if any of you would have any suggestions to get it to stay up - ive tried super glue - 5 min epoxy and nothing seems to be able to keep it up there for and extended period of time..
thanks a lot!

how many miles on the engine and the turbo? how is the shape of the engine? does he certify his work??
those questions and more are things you need to look into, but it does not sound too bad of a deal.

It seems as if i will not be performing the 3s-gte swap into a celica..
im really sad to say it though - I will do this swap down the road when i can have another car to actually drive and then my celica =)
Im going to try to stay away from a turbo for my first engine swap - and my mechanic and i are going to work with a 94-95 integra GSR drop a nice powerful engine in it - this way the issues i will have with it will be so minimal i wont have to worry about drving it hard or what not. im going to put the h23 vtec into it =) some serious power (200hps) plus that vtec!
well yea thats where im at right now but im not buying a car till summer so i should stop thinking about it..! lol my girlfriend complains that it is all i am talking about. cars. cars.!
well peace out guys.

ps
thank you all so much for your informative posts. they were very clarifying for me when i am about to embark on such a large endeavor for me, so again
thank you!

oh
and the honda crx?
a b s o l u t l y HIDEOUS!
but if anyone has any other ideas for cars.. feel free to share them =)

you could make it fast as well if you wanted too
3s-gte 3rd gen swap...
you could begin getting some serious speed out of the car.
but, stop - take a look around, how many people around you own and drive a celica that looks nice and that they obviously care for??
plus as with anything you wont get as much money as you put into the car.
but you should get the amount of fun, and enjoyment you paid for =)

Hrm... did you drive your car very hard?

so if i were to do the swap - fix all the mechanical parts that i could think of -
replace them with new (preventative maintanence if you will)
you dont think i could go 4 years without some kind of a major fix.
i would have to expect at least 500+ of some kind of work needing to be done on the car?
I drive my cars fast - but i keep them well.. if that makes sense
like ill redline it and race it around all day but every 3k sometimes before i change my oil - routinely run cleaners through the engine - replace sparks.plugs. tranny fluid. radiator fluid. whole bunches of stuff.. air filters......

Im not worried about a 1oo bucks every month or so for a fix - and i realize it is all a gamble ...but if i were to perform the 3s-gte your assuming that i would not be able to get away with such cheap repairs?

what i want to do is get my hands dirty this summer, and come fall time when i go back to school - i want it to be fine, normaly every weekend every other weekend i drive 400 miles to go back home (round trip..)

I wouldnt want to be continuously fixing things.. But my thought if i replace things with quality parts, dont overboost it. keep it well maintained that i may be able to have a reliable fast car that i love the looks of...

any ideas on that??
