I need the passenger door panel but would only be able to buy it by mid November ![]() I need a front passenger fender. Anyone know about how much to ship those? I am in Utah, unfortunately (and I mean that for more than just the proximity to this fender). ![]() How about the center AC vents, and the center console? Do those look ok? If I can't get the fender, I do need those without broken fins or rips in the console cover. |

Jeez, if I still lived in KY I would happily drive up and get this thing for that price. Too bad I'm now in UT. With that said.. I would be willing to buy the GT-4 hood and bumper at a fair price. If you don't need the money in a hurry, you could make much more than what you're asking if you parted this thing out. |

Very interested in this ![]() Thanks! Looks like that will be a few months out. Was thinking I would get a used hood/bumper set, but after reading the sticky on the Exterior forum, it looks like I can go all new parts for about $1k, which is close the same as if I got them all beat up from Malaysia. Will budget for that, and get them after Christmas most likely. Hoping to get the engine/clip before it gets too cold, but if not, I'll wait for spring. Looking like I'll be focusing on the cosmetic/interior stuff first, then doing the engine swap last. At least it'll be sweet looking when I start 'er up for the first time. ![]() |

In the last few days I turned 41, and... - Got an engine hoist from my wife and kids for aging another year - Removed the hood - Removed the hatch - Took out the front seats - Took out the back seats - Removed all the plastic from the trunk/hatch area - Hammered out the dents from the rear fenders behind the tires on both sides - Tested out the color I'll be painting the car - (8L7) Stellar Blue Pearl Just tearing it down before she starts getting rebuilt. Taking my time on the interior while locating a 3S-GTE clip (GT-4 or Caldina). |

I am looking for a GT-4 hood and bumper for my '94 GT. I would prefer to find something locally in the US rather then forking out $500+ just in shipping from Malaysia. If anyone has a GT-4 hood or bumper you'd be willing to part with at a reasonable price, please let me know. |

Gotta love moving! I just sold all other parts to a 6GC member and just found another box in the garage: Center armrest ( I believe out of a convertable), 2 factory radios, center air vents, clock, mirror switch, center console cubby, & misc. interior trim covers (not in photo). I will sell all for $40. Again if interested please take all & you can resell what you don't want. Thanks again to all 6GC, everyone has been awesome- Ty 916-342-1748. I will take the lot. Can you ship it to UT for me? Follow up in PM if you like. Needing both the AC vent, and the console lid. |

What didn't you like about the MR2? Been thinking about getting the same model you just got rid of. Did that one have the 3s-gte? |

Been a little busy with life as fall approaches, but have been able to do some work here and there. I haven't sourced a clip yet (looking for a Caldina or GT-4), and there's plenty to do cosmetically, so I'm working on the body and the interior for now. As shown in previous pics, there are some issues with both the rear fenders behind the wheel, and the right front fender is twisted (getting that sourced now) enough to warrant getting a new one. Since I am replacing it anyway, I painted 90% of it with the Dupli-Color® 8L7 Stellar Blue Pearl spray paint to see how it would look. This was a rough job on a surface not properly prepared. The camera doesn't pick up the sparkles very well at all. It's pretty much black in the dark, and dark blue with sparkles under light. ![]() Got around to taking the hatch off, and removed much of the interior. Going to finish getting the console, dash, carpet, and back seat out this week. Once that is all done I'll be reconditioning or replacing every piece that comes out, and re-doing the floor from front to back. Will be adding in some dense carpet foam for sound suppression under the new carpet mold, then working my way up. All the interior plastic pieces that would look right with an accent color will be painted the blue paint shown in the pic above. Going to do a base coat with Krylon Fusion because of it's ahesion to plastic, top that off with the Dupli-Color® 8L7, then some nice clear coat of course. ![]() ![]() With the hatch off, and the interior plastic removed, I was able to get to the smashed in parts of the rear fenders. Was able to get the dents worked out pretty well on the drivers side, but the passenger side needs some more work. So glad I have a friend that knows how to do the body work. ![]() Something to keep in mind. Will be putting splitters on, so I'm not super concerned about the very lower parts of the fender. Notice the dent gone from above the fender also.. ![]() Not quite as good as the driver side, but much better than it was. Some TLC, some sanding, and some filler will do these very nicely.. ![]() Got the engine hoist, a nice ratchet set, some ramps, and other misc tools. Pretty much set on equipment to do everything now. The biggest thing I'll need is the time to do all the meticulous interior cleaning, sanding, painting, re-carpeting, etc. Then the engine work... Going to be doing some fun dash mods while that is out, so I'm not necessarily going to be putting it back together quickly. Considering taking out the engine, and getting it down to pretty much the bare metal, then towing it to the paint shop. That may not happen for a couple months, so I've got time to make the interior pieces look good. |

A few weeks ago my shifter suddenly became difficult to move, and now I have to push it about half a notch forward to get it into the right spot to drive. Took it to get the emissions test done, and they pointed out a little bracket that had lost it's bolt, letting the linkage cable rest on the exhaust, and it melted the plastic sleeve on the cable, which caused the difficulty in moving the shifter. So my question.. Will a linkage cable for an auto be the same as a manual tranny? I have looked all over Ebay and the rest of the internet to find a linkage cable for an auto tranny, and nobody seems to have them, but they do for the manual. Any info or feedback would be appreciated! |

You hafta drop the exhaust manifold, and there is a bolt on the right side of the motor that pretty much requires an impact wrench to break free. If you can find someone to do it for a few hundred, it is probably worth it. I would have shopped around for someone lower than $100/hr, but I was on a time crunch, and I needed it done right. |

I had just moved cross country without my tools so I had a local shop do it. They said the book calls for 5.5 hours labor at 100/hr. Definitely get the OEM pump. I got an AutoZone one and had to have it re-done because the gaskets sucked and caused pressure loss after a couple weeks. |

episode #10 is now up and live!!!! we've taken a little break to recoup and asses where we're at but we're back and want your feedback! join the fun and post about the 6gc.net podcast!!! http://www.spreaker.com/user/presure2/epis...6gc_net_podcast The podcasts are great, and mucho props to all involved! The only feedback I could give is that it's sometimes hard to follow. I'm a complete novice when it comes to working on cars, but I'm jumping in with both feet. A bit more structure with less talking over each other would help someone like me. Don't get me wrong, they are supremely appreciated, and full of great info, but like everything else in life, there are always opportunities for improvement. ![]() |

Smaay is talking about this: http://warp.scl.utah.edu/mr2/Turbo5sfe.html This always leads to wanting more, which usually leads to kaboom. That page is hosted on the UTAH.EDU site. Any chance some of you fine people are in the SLC Utah area? I am, and it would be very nice to have a 3S-GTE swap-knowledgeable guy near. ![]() |

with that its time to start doing some homework and setup a parts list, thanks Smaay If you come up with something workable that you like, please do post the details. I have 2 GTs, and I'd like to do this to my 95 GT auto. The 5-speed is getting a 3S-GTE, but it would be nice to have a bit more pep in the auto for daily driving. If anyone else has this info, please don't be shy. ![]() |

save yourself some heart ache and return that central pneumatic impact wrench. Then go to advance auto and buy the 400 ft lb Ingersol Rand Impact. Then be happy LOL - I have no doubt you're right, but the impact wrench in the pic is $21. The one you recommend is $249 or so, from what I saw. As long as the one I got works long enough to get me through the swap, I'm gold. I moved cross-country, and left 99% of my tools 2,500 miles away in a storage unit. Will be going to get the rest of my stuff soon, so this is just to get me by for now. UPDATE: I have begun tearing the body down, and getting the interior removed. I would post some pics, but we've all seen naked Celicas before. ![]() |

..finally got to begin work on my new project - GT-FAUX. Assembled my new rolling toolbox, removed the hood, and got the fenders and front bumper started, then it was 1am. Got some duplicolor spray cans with several different colors, and settled on 8L7 - Stellar Blue Pearl. Used the hood for my testing place since I'm getting a GT-4 hood and bumper anyway. Selling a multi-color 6gc hood if anyone wants it. In great shape, no dents.. |
