I need to replace the bumper and both fenders on my kid's 99 Convertible...

My question is: will the parts from a Coupe fit?

How hard is it to install fenders from a coupe onto a 99 convertible?

Someone told me the fenders are different and it would take some modification to get them to work.

Just trying to figure out if I need to look for convertible fenders only.

I am definitely interested, if the part doesn't have any broken areas and the lens is clear.

I replaced it by cutting the part from the shifter hole to the side edge...didn't remove the knob. It's holding up fine.

I have a white 99 GT Convertible.

I am looking for both front fenders (no dents or creases), the outside passenger headlight housing and possibly a bumper.

I would feel like I hit the lottery if I found all these parts in white, but will take any color at this point.

Items would need to be shipped to 76028.

Thanks!

Hi,

I'm looking for a Driver's side front fender for my daughter's 99 Convertible.

A bonus would be that it was white....but wishful thinking, right?

Please PM me if you have one you would like to sell. Let me know your price with shipping to 76028.

Thanks!
Maggie

I'm looking for an Air Cleaner Intake Hose for a 99 Convertible GT, with a 2.2L engine.

I think the part number is 17881-74690.

Does anyone know how to replace the light that illuminates the gear shift panel (P, R, N, D, 1, 2) on an automatic? and what bulb goes in there?

It's a 99' Convertible.

I'm looking for a front bumper in good shape (no cracks) for a '99 GT Convertible.

My daughter had a little "bump" accident and cracked two of the headlight wells on hers. I tried to repair it but made it worse....

Bonus would be if the bumper you had was white but not required....also looking for the crash bar and supports.

I have a whole shifter unit with that still intact. I've tried to just get that piece out, but it seems almost impossible without breaking other stuff.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested!

I don't know if I would be able to get it out either, as I saw one in a junkyard that I couldn't get out.

Thanks, anyway smile.gif

Hi guys,

I really hope someone can help me!

I am looking for the sliding cover that covers the gear shift slot for my daughter's '99 Celica GT Convertible (automatic).

She is constantly dropping stuff down in there and I am afraid one of these days, something will end up being un-rescue-able!

The Part Number is #35975-20150

I am attaching a diagram showing the part that I need (circled in red), as I don't know if I am describing it well.

Please PM me, if you can help me out.

For shipping purposes, I live in 76028.

Thanks so much!!!

1 thread below. You can see my speakers. That stereo looks like a2012 model. Some were not compatible with ios6 iphone. Make sure it is. Otherwise you need to do a firmware upgrade.

Im going 8 inch sub on the doors. My vert trunk space is priceless. You will need a harness for toyota. The sicky section has a thread about replacing the stereo

I see you're using RF speakers, which is what I was looking at thru Amazon, but there are different ones....and I know nothing about wattage, etc. of car audio.

Do you happen to have the part #'s for the speakers and harness that you chose?

I will check into the iPhone compatibility of that stereo, as well. I think she is on iOS7 on her iPhone now.

I agree with needing the trunk space....do the 8" subs in the door produce a rattle when they hit?

QUOTE (Box @ Dec 2, 2013 - 4:25 PM) *
That's one I'm looking at getting, from everything I can find it's supposed to be a really good unit for the money. The problem you have is that you have the 8-speaker system, so that complicates matters a little. You'll have to rerun the wiring and bypass the factory amplifier for the new speakers. What I'd suggest is getting a component set for the tweeters and 4" speakers, coaxial 6.5" speakers for the rear, and then getting shallow mount 8" sub-woofers for the bottom door panels. Then you wouldn't need a box in the back. You even might be able to find a small enough amplifier to sit in place of the factory amplifier for powering the 8" subs. On that particular head-unit run power to the component set and coaxial speakers from the head-unit itself, then can use the rear/sub RCA outputs to go to the amp and then out to the 8" subs.

What size amp would I need, do you think?

And this is a dumb question....but would having the 8" subs inside the car produce the "bump" that teenagers are after?

QUOTE (njccmd2002 @ Dec 2, 2013 - 4:41 PM) *

Waiting...lol.

Especially interested in the route you go with the subs....

For Christmas, I would like to get my daughter a new head unit and all new speakers....while trying not to break the bank.

Amazon is my best source at the moment, so I wonder if any of you have researched replacing the speakers in the 8 speaker system and could steer me in the right direction?

I am looking for a pair of 1" tweeters, a pair of 4" speakers, a pair of 6.5" speakers for the back and "something" to replace the pair of 8" speakers in the door.

This is the head unit that she likes: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0091UW7F...d=ATVPDKIKX0DER although I don't know if it's any good.

Also do I need any harnesses or anything? (I know nothing about car audio)

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated....thanks!

Oh and also, she would like some sort of amp and subwoofer w/box in the trunk (her dad is going to get it for her) but I don't know what to look for there either (nor does he).

Thanks again!

I'd like to replace the speakers in my daughter's 99 convertible for her birthday.

Does anyone know the sizes of the 8 speaker system? Everything I seem to look up shows 6 speakers for that car.

Is it 2 tweeters, 2 - 4", 2 - 6" and 2 - 8"?

Is there anything I need to know before I buy replacements?

I am looking for a Driver's side front seatbelt for a 99 convertible (liftback belts won't work apparently).

If you have one you'd be willing to sell, please PM!

Thanks!

First check junkyards in your area, always good to know if there are any celicas, you can get very cheap parts wink.gif

Oh believe me, I have checked. There are no convertible 6th gen Celicas within a 100 mile radius of me and the couple hardtops I know of have been pretty gutted....but both the maplight and the seatbelts have to come out of a convertible, according to Toyota.
