Some dude from auto zone told me to add some fuel injector cleaner to my car since its 20 years old and should bring performance back . If it's true what's a good brand cleaner i would look out for that i put injector cleaner in my van and the fuel lines were so dirty the injectors ended up getting clogged up with all the crap. cost me £1600 to fix. just use a little bit the fist time dont be a fanny like me and pour half the bottle in haha. |

well tonite on the freeway on the way home i got the car up to around 120 and then it kinda shut down as if there were a speed limiter on it? it felt exactly like what happend when i hit 118 in my 01 corolla. At first i was worried that some how i hit the boost fuel cut as i was giving it a good amount of pedal, however when i easied my way up to 120 it did the same thing as well. what happend? is there a speed limiter on the 3s ecu? and how do i disable it? thanks Yes all factory JDM motors are limited to 118 mph IIRC. To disable it you need to cut the Purple wire with the white stripe on the 22 pin connector. Expect CEL on if you do that so you might want to get a switch on that wire so its not permanently cut. You MIGHT experience issues with power steering and/or speedo gauge. I have not removed speed limiter on my gen3 so i cant confirm this info, its just what i found out from reading. The best way would be purchasing one of HKS or GREDDY speed cut defencer (~$100) or going standalone ![]() which ecu box is it located in is it the one in the footwell? |

why do you need to take the radiator off? There's two different coolant systems with the GT4's. The engine which goes to the radiator and the one for the topmount IC. cool so there 2 different systems? im putting a frontmount on so ill need to replace the whole deal. |

hi im just wondering how you remove the TMIC on a st205?. thanks Not sure if it's the same, but for my st185 swapped Celica, here's what I do: Remove 4 bolts to take the cover off, and then I think there are 2 or 3 bolts that hold the ic to the motor. (It's been a while so maybe off on numbers) Then loosen the hoses from the throttle body and turbo and just wiggle it till it's free. I found it easier if I just remove the throttle body inlet directly. Makes it easier to pull out. Hope this helps cool so its not attached to the other radiator at all its a contained system? as in if i take the top mount off and the radiator then itll all come out without messing with the engine coolant system? |

I was away from my computer the other day and couldn't post the pic. It's a pretty massive i/c with 3" inlet and outlet. I'm using two reducers to drop it down to 2.5" inlet and outlet because 3 inches is way to large for my setup. The bracket was pretty easy to make, it is all scrap steel my buddy had lying around. It bolts in where the old crash bar was. We made the hooks that hold it from the top because that is where the mounts are on this one. ![]() ![]() thanks man much apreciated. im going to see what i can do when i get the kit in and decide then but i think welding could be the easiest way to do it. where did you put the gearbox oil cooler by the way? out of interest :L |

An FMIC of size 600mm (24”) x 300mm(12”) x 76mm(3”) with an End to End" Length of 800mm (32”) will go straight in easily after you remove the Charge cooler rad set-up. You may need to relocate the gearbox cooler tho, power steering cooler should fit fine between the FMIC & Rad. Install tips would be: Find a smooth piping route with as least bends as possible. Clock the turbo. Try to use hosing (Silicon hose) as pipe joiners as opposed to actual piping runs. Make sure when using hoses that you have big enough rolled pipe ends so the clamps can hold the hoses tightly on the pipes. No modification to front bumper needed, all that’s been done here is to remove the lower grill & down lines so the bumper can be filled with mesh & a few custom bling modifications ![]() Engine pic, note turbo is still in the normal position & hasn’t been clocked yet. ![]() ![]() Front bumper & FMIC measure up, note the vertical runs are being removed, not needed to fit the FMIC it’s being done for aesthetic reasons. ![]() Good overview of the piping runs. ![]() Pics are courtesy of Adam G. have you got anymore intall pics? just ordered a frontmount and was wondering how you re-plumbed the topmount and relocated the battery? |

I'm pretty sure I have a picture of mine with the bumper off in my build thread in the "my project" section if you want to look at how I did it. You'll need a welder though cool man ill look it up i can weld pretty good :L cool i take it the FMIC is better than the stock TMIC? im wanting to get atleast 350 brake out of it its running 280 right now but im going to get the FMIC and a ct26 turbo custom fuel management etc. so hoping for better power. |

a CAI for your ST205 is pretty pointless as it will just be heated in the turbo.. Cooling the intake charge is done by the W2A intercooler. So if you want to increase the power via cooler intake charge, look at upgrading that. I'd recommed a wetting agent for your charge cooler water such as redline water wetter. sweet good advice man frontmount is the way to go i think then. |

There is a how to guidein the stickies and another guide on the site. I think that one of the members did a CAI upgrade on the GT recently, with the Honda Accord CAI system, try searching for it (use the "site:www.6gc.net/ CAI" in google, this search is useless for three lettered words). sorrry man i mean for an st205 haha. thanks though |

hey ive looked at some forums for the cold air intakes on St and GT cars i had one on my GT but im wondering how easy it would be to put one on my GT-4. also how do you relocate all the pipes from the old intake pipe to another one?. has anyone done this? |

I'm not sure what puddle light lenses are, do you mean the courtesy lights in the door panels when you open the door? If so then the lenses from a Tundra will fit perfectly and they are clear. I ordered mine from the dealership, from a 2006 Tundra. For the third brake light, I believe wolfie308 on the forums here makes them, you might want to talk to him aye thats the one. thanks very much man |
