QUOTE(lagos @ Feb 10, 2007 - 10:14 PM) can you make a vid of those prosports in action? are they easy to see during the day? Sorry for OT, but Lagos you can see it e.g. here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5n4NAvlzXA...ted&search= There are some vids on youtube, try looking around. It seems the gauges when switched on have a few backlight modes. The bright white one seems to be the one with your lights on. Looks best IMO. |

QUOTE(SveNRG @ May 18, 2007 - 6:33 AM) "... a very rare transmission from a '98 JDM SS-II or SS-III Celica. Very strong, low mileage. It's really just like an MR2 tranny. " - It's a 3S-GE transmission, but special edition. I'm curious, cause I have a SS-II edition and am wondering if my transmission will fit the 3SGTE. Regarding the clutch, so it seems i need to purchase a stock 3SGTE clutch (engine does not come with clutch installed). I was also curious, as the diameters of 3SGTE clutch are different to the ones of 3SGE. |

SveNRG: I would have a couple of questions: - clutch - which one you installed? stock for 3SGE? or 3SGTE? If not stock, what brand? - transmission - is this the stock one? for 3SGE? Thanks. |

SveNRG: does it mean you're doing the engine swap only? Will it be FWD only? Thumbs up, it will be a nice "innocent looking" drive ! I am doing the same in 1-2 months and will add front differential (dunno it's written correctly) to prevent slipping wheels. |

doGGy, I have the same concern, would like to have some specific wheels on my silver beauty. I have decided to go for titanium / black colour. Check this famous C-One. I think the white ones seem too funny and any other color than black does not match. Silver is too usual ![]() ![]() |

Panda, where did you order the wire set from? I could not find the proper wire set from NGK on my JDM 3SGE. Usually they have sets for 7AFE or 5SFE only. |

Hi there, have a similar problem as the guy before me, have ordered rotors for my 3SGE 2.0 from US, and when installing found out the rotors are smaller than stock ones. Actually the diameter is smaller, also thickness is different to the ones on my 2.0. They are a bit thinner. Do you know exact sizes of brake rotors for 1.8 and EU/JAP 2.0, so I can exactly measure them and say, they fit EU 1.8 models too ? Cause i'm just guessing they'd fit the 1.8. Here the rotors i bought http://129.33.208.36/L1Rotors.jpg and more info: http://www.nopionline.com/nopistore/dsp_pa...TOYOTA%20Celica Appreciate any help. Thanks.. |

l19tly: against 330ci and he wasnt pullin away? Was it a girl or what? Doesnt seem very realistic mate. You have barely 180hp on front wheels and racing agains someone with 230hp on rear. BMW has some 300Nm and compared to 190 on your celica.. seems like a joke. Sorry, but cant believe he was racing for real. Or perhaps it was a problem with the driver ![]() |

Hi Guys, after more than 3 years of driving my 3SGE 177HP Celica GT I am in need of driving a turbo car, as this power is already too low for me and increasing power in this engine is not very cost-effective. As I have already invested quite an amount into suspension (SSS) and other stuff (GT4 hood, bumper, etc.) it would not make sense for me selling the car and buying a GT4, even if that would cost additional 3000-4000USD. So i made my mind and would like to do a 3SGTE swap (probably 2nd gen 3SGTE). I would like to ask you several questions. I read this forums and searched for this special swap but i am not sure if anyone did this one already. 1. In case I would buy a clip or the whole car even (5thgen easier to get here in Europe), would I need to swap tranny too? Or my ST202 tranny would do fine with 2nd gen 3SGTE ? I know it's power dependent, at first stage I do not intend to cross 300HP, I think 220-240 having on front wheels would be just enough. At later stage for sure bying new tranny will be a must, I guess. 2. How about the clutch, does it require a new clutch too? 3. You guys from Europe do you have any reliable sources for clips or entire GT4s 5th gen ? Fensport seems to be quite ok with price, any real experiences with them on swaps and engines? 4. Finally, do you know someone who did 3SGTE into 3SGE 6thgen swap around here? Thanks for any advice. |

I had this problem too. I have a GT and found out SS suspension on front even. So they didn't fit. Had to buy original SS shocks. A bit pricey. |

Shame it's not for our 3SGE versions :-( If you find any manual for GT 3SGE versions, it would be lovely. Btw, anyone interested in EPC ? It's the technical application used in dealerships for identifying parts and No.'s and stuff. |

I think there is a small amount of spoilers and wings that fit Celica, as her (sorry, but it's she) back is very curves specific and it's difficult to extend those curves to very nice overall look. Moreover i think Celica is without almost any sharp corners, so this flat wing doesn't fit it at all. It would fit e.g. Mitsu Evo or Subaru, but Celica is simply too curvy :-) .. my humble opinon ... |

Hi All, am having currently a huge problem installing front dampers Kayaba ExcelG on my Celica 2.0 GT ('96). I have bought all 4 dampers, 2 rears and 2 fronts of course. Rear ones looked different though, they had this whole assembly, where the front ones came as "sticks" only. Here a pic from Kayaba page and it's exactly as on the page, front came without assembly: http://www.kayaba.de/images/products/art/prod_excel.jpg Here my rears: http://www.toyotateam.sk/upload/CelicaNR/tlmic_predny.jpg And here fronts: http://www.toyotateam.sk/upload/CelicaNR/tlmic_zadny.jpg The problem is, my mechanic can't put the fronts into the former assembly. He says it doesn't fit. Why in the hell then Kayaba would sell these dampers for Celicas ? Mechanic claims the damper cover is too thick to fit into the assembly. Did you guys have any problems with exchanging front dampers ? Are the original dampers incorporated into the assembly only (and so not interchangable) ???? PLS help.. Thanks for any advice.. |

.. seems to me like "Pimp my Ride !!" ![]() Hi quality looks.. but not good. It's stylish, but applying american style on jap car doesn't fit well.. in my opinion. I would either keep it simple (no flames) or sell it :-) |
