you can use dupli color fabric and Vinyl it comes in a spray can do some reasearch on it you need to be able to spray good and use laqurer thinner to clear all the grease from your hands ertc....youtube it you can even do your carpets it costs about 10 bucks a can

I'm currently painting my interior at a pace of a few peices a week when the weathers warm enough

When I put my car in gear it shakes the whole car just had a used engine put in about 5k ago as new motor mounts but I don't believe it'd be from there cause it's only once in gear... Could it be the tranny reaching it's age now?

check for missing bolts on the tranny case it could also be a bad clutch or a going transmission

So I am wanting to know I have two 5SFE motors one has been run bone dry of oil and is sitting in my car port (1990) and my current one is in my car (1994). Now I am wondering if the if the 5SFE (1990) is worth rebuilding and using turbo is it gonna be worth it or not I don't wanna spend three grand for a rebuild of 5SFE and not feel like it was worth it or is the 3SGTE swap just better all around ? I just don't want to spend the money and not enjoy it.

The guy to talk to. Syaoran, himself is building a 5sfte atm. He can answer most of your questions. Here's his progression thread: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=83721

thanks

Hey just wanting to know if anyone has looked into rebuilding a 5SFE motor into a performance motor. Just wanting to know because I don't want to go down to the machine shop with the motor and waste my time and the machinist time so I figured that maybe someone here knows.

Yes.

From what I recall, the 5gens came with an s53 transmission versus the s54 that the 6gen has. The difference is that the s53 has taller gearing.

Why don't you just use your 90 trans? It will bolt up to another 2.2 just fine.

My third gear grinds and there is 387,000 KM on it so it's cheaper and better to get a whole transmission then it is to replace the syncros. Thanks by the way
