Think I'm giving up on trying to sell. Took it to the shop the other day and found out that my transmission is crap. So this is a possible part out, depending on if my insurance wont go to high up with a newer car. Feel free to dm me or reply on here on parts you need/want and I'll price it out and hopefully the parts will go to a good home

The time has come for me to sell my celica. Working full time and going to school full time, I never seem to have time to work on my car. It drives, but needs a new clutch, and has some sexy rusted black Steelies (one partially painted white). I've put a lot of work into this car, but there always seems to be something wrong. While I did love this project, it seems that I'm trying to maintain it more than it being a project, and as it being my daily driver, I just can't have it giving me troubles.

Well, there's your problem(s). It is refreshing to see someone openly admit their car is a money pit though. tongue.gif

I mean Im not trying to bs someone out of their money, at least not on here and it's only 2 things at the moment, guess you're right about that though, I'll just let you guys know that it has the problems and let everyone else assume nothing it wrong.. and it doesn't always give me problems, just the lower control arm problem i can't figure out

I've had fun with it and everything but I just don't have the time anymore, I work full time and go to school dull time, so I don't have any extra time

Hey everyone,

The time has come for me to sell my celica. Working full time and going to school full time, I never seem to have time to work on my car. It drives, but needs a new clutch, and has some sexy rusted black Steelies (one partially painted white). I've put a lot of work into this car, but there always seems to be something wrong. While I did love this project, it seems that I'm trying to maintain it more than it being a project, and as it being my daily driver, I just can't have it giving me troubles. I posted it on Craigslist for $6000, but obviously I'm expecting to get the whole $6000 for it. Please buy it so I can get a new daily and hopefully when I have my own place and time I'll ne able to have another 6gen.
Here's the link to my Craigslist post. It should have everything there.

Where did that happen?

You have any suspects?

Replacing studs is relatively easy. How did they break off?

First, use a punch to drive what's left of the broken studs out of the hub.

Then, insert the new studs from behind, one at a time.

To pull the stud up tight you need to have a large hardened steel nut (like a lug nut) open at both sides so you can screw it all the way down to the surface of the hub. Tighten the hardened nut to pull the stud up inside its hole until it is solidly fit in place and there is zero gap between the head of the stud and the rear surface of the hub. Might be good to first place a washer against the front surface of the hub before tightening the nut, so you don't mar the hub.

Keep doing that for all five studs.

There may be better ways, but this will get the job done.

1 broke off when i was tightening them lug nut, but the others seemed perfectly fine, so i bought a replacement for that one, then when i was going home the rest must of broke off, not exactly sure

Hey,

last night i had to get towed home due to only having 1 stud still intact last night, seems that they broke off sometime yesterday. Is there a link on how to change the studs? I've already bought the studs, all i need to do is replace them now. Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks.
