Its been a while, and i've already given away a ton of stuff. Now the rest needs to go. I am in Brooklyn and these parts need to go ASAP!!! Everything is free, i want them to go to someone with a nice build and a serious spirit... that way i know they'll be put to good use. There is the custom guage mount... I forgot who built it, but if i remember, this should be one of four. There is a 7 inch monitor molded into the dash... i do not have the cables, you should be able to find them no problem... slotted and cross drilled rotors... 4... and an airbag i know i know... there is some money to be had here... but its not about that. consider this my last gift from my 6GC. Hit me up at 917 292 2726.... im serious people... this stuff has to go asap... no more room for it! Check out the image of what i have here https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=DF8D1...ADyUX_9FPYNoTF4 |

Ok, so story time. I was watching a movie with a friend the other night at like midnight and his phone rings. It's a girl named Taylor and they talk for a few minutes. He says he needs to get off the phone because I was there and we were watching it. She asks if I'm cute, and me being the smartass I am, says yes. So she asks for my number. Scott said she was attractive so I gave it to her and she texts me. Right after that, Scott says... "oh by the way, I met this girl online a year ago and we talk a lot but I've never met her... She is from Jersey I think" So I found that a bit weird but figured it was just harmless texting and I didn't really care. Well we talked for a few days now. And this girl is very very attractive, albeit a bit young (she's 18 and I'm 21) and we have talked a lot and actually have a lot in common and seem to have hit it off? If you can say that? So, with your vast amounts of knowledge, what *if any* advice would you give? She appears to very very in to me and she seems legit. Write it off as some crazy chick in Jersey? Or actually keep talking to her and don't rule it out even though I'm starting my senior year of college at Purdue in Indiana, and she is working in jersey and is 18. If I forgot anything I'll update anything 18 from jersey sounds like under cover cops to me! lol but you got pics. What the hell man. you only live once! |

i love the styling!!! very sleek...i like and dislike the color, its a nice color but it seems to be faded or maybe its just dirty, or maybe it was just the camera...but with some shine i would like it alot...wicked car and welcome back! im not a fan of the color either. i have decided on a color. it will be yellow. im going to try to get as bright a yellow as i can find. and black accents. skirts....maybe the wing. mirror....not sure about the hood yet. but the grill for the gt4 bumper will be black.... |

1. This is my favorite of the three as well because while being a totally crazy swap, it's also keeping it simple by not changing the overall aspect of the car. The 1UZ is a fantastic engine, quite possibly the most reliable engine Toyota has ever built. It does use an aluminum block, so a low boost turbo system could be done with proper tuning and good quality parts. 2. The chassis is indeed different, this would be a major project but at the same time it has been done a couple of times so that's good to know. With this swap many things would have to be done to ensure the integrity of the chassis. The first thing that I would do before anything else would be to install a full roll-cage to help keep everything stable. 3. With this swap, it would hardly be correct to even refer to the car as a Celica anymore, basically we would be using the Celica frame as a basis and build a custom car out of it. Again, a full racing rollcage would be the first step. As for being safe and controllable.... that all depends on the driver ![]() Needless to say these prices are subject to change so if anyone decides that they want to do a swap like this, contact me. -Doc .....im with you 70%....keep selling. you speak of "many things" need to be done. what are they? at this point we're pass the theroy stage....and the "it could"part of the game. you need to start showing your hand so everyone can ponder this....and eventually aid you in the project. where is manny? what are your thoughts on these options? |

You guys all know that I've been doing swaps in Celicas for a long time, and after doing enough of the 3SGTE, 3SGE, 4AGE swaps, etc, I'm feeling the need for something a little off the wall. I have a feeling that there are some Celica owners out there who are thinking the same thing, they want something a little different. I've got three projects in mind that I'd be interested in doing, and I might even give a discount if someone steps up to the plate to have one done. 1. 1UZFE swap. The 1UZFE is the 4.0 V8 engine from the Lexus LS400. It makes between 265 and 300hp depending on the version. I would like to swap this engine, FRONT-WHEEL DRIVE, into a Celica, using an E153 or E58 transmission (LSD optional). I have personally seen this done sideways in a MK1 MR2, which is no bigger, if not smaller, than the Celica engine bay. We have all the equipment needed at my shop, and besides me, we now have another expert fabricator and tig welder that we just hired. I estimate the TOTAL cost of the engine swap, including the engine, transmission, all custom metal fabrication and installation, turn-key and ready to go out the door, at $9000. 2. AWD 3SGTE conversion. This one has been done before and there's a number of threads recently on the subject. I've been ready to do one of these for a while, so if there's someone out there serious about having it done, I'm up for it. I estimate the cost of the whole conversion, including all the parts, 3SGTE engine (3rd gen) and transmission, labor, fabrication, and so on, turn-key and ready to roll, at $11,000. 3. 1JZGTE or 2JZGTE swap and conversion to REAR WHEEL DRIVE. Not a typo. You know what it is, you know you want it. We can do it. Total cost including everything: $12,000. WHO'S UP?! ![]() dear mr.tweak, you prob dont know or remember me. but i've been stalking you for a while. the only issue i have with you is you're half way around the world (in in nyc.) but any who....im veeeery serious about these 3 options. i am currently saving to do something big around this time next year. your prices are right up my ally. i really like your turn key ways. i am more than happy to pay you for your work. but like i said...next year is my trigger time. 1. this is the most attractive of the 3, not because of price....but because of its humble set up. it retains the front wheel drive...with a decent amount of hp....but myfear is that engine. is it battle ready? lets be serious....even tho its built like a rock...its built to be driven in a lux car....can it handle the beating we give on our 53\3s so on and so forth? hmmmmmm can i slap a turbo on there and not worry? hmmmmmm 2. i reeeeally like this one. awd??? 3rd gen 3s??? sounds like a go. but how will this affect the car itself? isn't the gt4 chasis a lil diffrent from the american gt? while you can make it work...will it work the way its supposed to? do i have to worry about chasis flex? 3. same issues as the awd...but a lil more worry-some. you take an awd platform and force it into rwd....how will the car react....then you slap the 2j in it??? lol...wow!!! its gottah be loads of fun. but is it safe controllable fun? hmmmm without a doubt lsd will help calm all 3 options down....but will that be enough? Im all for the engine madness...but i just need to know about the over all well being and balance of the car. in any event...if you can sell me on how practical any or all of these swaps are....then you and i will have a really good summer next year. |

3 of the most valued memebers all pointing the same direction is good enough for me. 3s it is! The v6 sounds reeeeeally tempting though....i always thought they came with lsd...and vvti already. plus a nice lil 5psi and 2 grand in tires lol...that would be an animal. But im sold. 3sgte it is for me. i think with the weight of the celi....a moddest 350hp would be the sweet spot. i have a pretty good idea of what i need to get there. so look out soon guys....some PMs may be coming your way soon. i still owe you a trip and some beers manny! i'll be up there soon! |

Well guys….after a long frustrating year without my car (heres a link) (and short video), it’s time to start getting it together. For those of you that don’t know my story…here’s a post… My accident post Since then I got a 04 bmw 325i ![]() …and I love the car to death! But I still can’t fight that Toyota urge. There truly is no feeling like a Celica…and I must have that in my life again. I was graced with a gift from a close friend. All he asked in return was the old turbo setup from my last car….which by the way is still intact. The only thing that was damaged from the hit was the intercooler and the charge pipes. Say what you must about these cars, but I can attest to them being battle compliant! Here’s some pics of the new car. ![]() ![]() ![]() The car was bought from PA from a group of guys who used it as a show car. They did a pretty good job on the styling outside....the interia needs some work though. I'll be tossing my black leather seats from my last one in there. ![]() the red 5th gen belongs to my friend who gave me the car. It will be turbo charge very soon. As of now, I’m in my research stage. I just posted a question on 3sgte vs v6 (link to post)…I’m not sure which route I want to go as yet. I already have suspension and brakes ready to be installed along with a lot of other goodies. I’m also looking into the changing the color of the car. Maybe black as a tribute to my last one, but I’m a fan of the comer yellow….so still thinking that over. I think I’ll kick everything off around this time next year. But I’ll be around a lot more….reading….studying…plotting. It’s good to be back! |

Hey guys, been a long time since I been back. But I’m looking into the next celi so it’s about that time to get my plans together. I’ve done the 5sfte and loved it, but after losing it, I don’t think it’s a road I want to walk down again. I want some more power…300hp +. So that brings me to one of two options. Nicely worked out 3sgte or mildly boosted v6 or nicely worked out vs. with cams and so on…. What are the advantages and of these three possibilities? I remember a member and his dad was setting up a v6, not sure how it turned out (I’m going to hunt down that thread after I write this) but it was looking very promising. I won’t be doing the work myself, and my mechanic is very good and is willing to make it happen. So I’m really leaning towards the v6 right now. But will it be that much better than the 3sgte? Is it worth it? The car will not be a daily driver so that’s not a problem for me. Hope to hear from you guys on this…. |

QUOTE(x_itchy_b_x @ Jul 24, 2007 - 1:01 PM) the stock bottom end should hold it fine. granted your positive the bottom end is in good condition. i had alot of blow by at 330whp and the turbo was only at 14.5psi my piston rings had seen way better days so did my cylinder walls. if your positive everything is in good shape then you'll be fine. Unfortunately i took for granted mine were fine. i don't want to have to go through this again and be without the celica for another season so i just went all out building the bottom end that can handle 600-700hp to be on the safe side. will I ever use it to its full potential? Doubtful, but its a good piece of mind. depending how far you want to go on modifications should be the deciding factor between a gen2 and a gen3. almost every part that would distinguish a gen2 from a gen3 on my engine has been changed. so there was no need to get a gen3. but if you only plan on mild mods to get to your hp goal a gen3 would be a better route. well what about the 4th gen...with an aftermakert manifold and the street brawler kit? |

im not willing to go past 350...the street brawler kit looks like what i've been looking for. I plan on running high and low boost settings....and my high ofcourse will give me the 350. so im really not looking to go the route itchy went. just the needed, well placed and tuned bolt ons. |

well player i was hoping i could get that...if i had the fmic installed...open up the piping. get the devils kit on there...up the boost to about 20 psi or so...and drop a nice tuning with the emange. If the stock turbo cant do it i still have a holset t3\t4 turbo that i will be trying as well. as far as the tranny goes...i was hoping i could get by on the stock 3s tranny with an aftermarket clutch and flywheel that will hold the power. If this is not enough what else will i need? |

I'd have to agree with manny, from all my reading the guys over at mr2oc have been doing it for a long time now. but i hear what you saying valo....i think i may pass on going down this road....see money is not really an issue, but im so excited to get it on the road i dont think i can deal with that much down time and tuning to get that stroker kit or what have you. I'll keep researching though, if its that much of a benifit i will do it. as far as 350 from the 3s...if theres one thing i learn from watching manny....tuning will get you where you need to be. as long as i take my time, tune and account for ever part i put on the car i think i can run harder than the guys at mr2oc....which is what im shooting for. and you do have a point valo...some super man tires is needed lol. wasn't there some one here doing something like this? with his dad? i can't remember who...anyone has links? |

Hey guys, Im kicking off my 3sgte project in april but I just had a thought. I have a totaled 5sfte sitting down stairs and I’ll be obtaining a 205 3rd gen clip…how hard is it to combine the two? I want to run the 2.2 block and the 3s head. My 5s had about 90k on it and I got it when it had 70…so im pretty sure its in good shape. What is needed and what needs to be done? I have a really good mechanic who would be willing to do the work providing its not like re inventing the wheel. |

Hey guys, im gearing up for my 3sgte project in april….i know it’s a lil far but I find if you plan a few months ahead you get it right. So my plans are to obtain a 3rd gen 205 clip and have that installed. Im looking for 350hp to the wheel. I’ve a few questions about this though. 1. I was speaking to matt...he had the 4th gen in the turtle…but he told me something that scared me a little….the turbo and manifold are one with that engine. Im all for a newer engine and more power, but I don’t like that idea….what if I want to change my turbo? (and I do have another t3/t4 from my last 5sfte) What if I want to change the manifold to after market for better performance in order to reach my 350hp. But for now its looking like I’ll be sticking to the 3rd gen….unless you guys can show me another way without reinventing the wheel. 2. When the engine is dropped what else will I have to do hardware wise to get as close to the 350 as possible before tuning? I was looking around on ebay and I found some front mounted intercooler kits for the 3sgte for around 600….it came with the intercooler and all the necessary piping needed…the price was a little expensive if you ask me, but if that’s what’s needed then so be it! I also wanted to go fmic because I’ll be using the devils injection kit…from what I understand it works a little better with fmic instead of top mounted. Other than that I’ll be doing the obvious….3 inch piping all around and front to back. Any other thoughts? 3. As far as tuning things go, I’ll be running the devils injection kit, im looking to get the emanage ultimate and a boost controller. Any thing I’m missing? and before youz start flaming i've been reading for months and i think i have a general idea about whats going on. i just wanted to get thoughts and ideas for MY project. |
