I notice my stock header has a second plug 02? sensor before the flexpipe. The ebay header doesn't have this. What do you do with the hanging sensor ? |

hello sorry for the delay in reply. These are stock exhaust no picture , as the car is at my brothers house. So if it was the O2 holder , the sensor or the wire should be hanging ? |

Hello if anyone could help me here that would be great, on my header there is an eye shaped cap , bolt on either side that blew off or rusted off. Can you buy this ? Or just bold another peice of metal back on there ? Its before the flex pipe area i think. My brother was describing this problem to me. Anyone out there able to help with suggestions ? Thank you , |

Discontinued, well thanks for the information. These choices suck , it would be easier to just order greddy catback ![]() Apexi N1 ? Flowmaster? Im thinking flowmaster might be what i want but unsure. If anyone has any ideas let me know , if not thanks for the help on this thread. |

Thanks, this is really good information. I think I will get 2.5" from my ebay cat to a resonator then muffler because i might turbo it. Maybe 2 resonators I hope not though. I want deep sound not annoying. From that thread I gather with the ebay header I will be missing a cat converter which will alter sound alot , higher I think. Which makes me think 2 resonators will be needed. Emissions where i am are not a problem atm. About the resonators - Im not sure what brands to go with still for the resonator/'s And muffler I can't see a 50 dollar ebay purchase a wise choice. The apex N1 universal for about 200.00 looks realistic but im not sure about the sound. Or the flowmaster's , i havn't checked the price on this brand. So the quote in previous post of 350-500 sounds right So is the path of the celica ST exhaust , the same as the GT? Because this site claims they have a Greddy GT exhaust that I can get for just under $600 delivered http://www.racingworks.com/greddy_exhaust_sp2_catback.htm |

Hello everyone, My dream of 3sgte has been destroyed for now again! So I have to get my celica back on the road with the 7AFE anyway, I have a header setup coming in and now I need a Cat back setup. Should I just get the muffler/'s? and get the pipe made up or get a cat back setup? I've been looking at Greddy SP2 but can't find any reasonable price, and none actually say they will fit the ST, so would I have to mod the pipe to fit ? Or is this a bad Idea for the ST ? Any other suggestions of nice cat back systems? Im looking for deep sound , I don't like loud and annoying. If that helps any. |

Ok that sounds like a solution. If it gets confirmed. A non fouler would be just like a plug cap type thing from the dealer ? |

good catch about the 3sge and I think the ST does have 2 O2 holes , in the front and behind the the cat converter? Not totally sure my car is in storage. This one sounds more specific / legit and pricing is higher $70+shipping, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-M2-Race...=item2a05b6a9a6 again though only one o2 hole. BTW thanks for the response to my question ! |

You would be better off to just get the GT Four. If you're interested I've got a great guy here in Calgary that will help you find your dream GT Four. PM me; I'll get you his details. So why do people do the swaps? Is it because they couldn't be imported? I'm not really sure about the Canadian importing laws with right hand drive vehicles. But I thought I just recently read something about it being legal now except for Quebec. Or maybe they just want to do it themselves? Or they save a bunch of money by collecting the parts needed ? Kaos, I will PM you when I decide on what to do with my current celica. Kills me to let it go , lol |

Bonzai, wow I was at that site and didn't notice this. I've been drooling over the pics for a while and looking at the price. 3200 then 1400 to ship , then i have to ship again from one side of Canada to the other, im guessing 600 would be good deal for this. Up to 5400. From here im i'd like to replace all hard to reach parts , timing etc. and inspect and fix what may need attention. Even If im not paying for labor of installing this , im thinking this will be easily cost 8k. Thats with no cosmetic. Does this sound high or ? I'm wondering because I see the real GT4's going for 10-12k http://www.youtube.com/user/BraveAutoIntJa.../22/f2-JnpCa2Lk |

Ok so what i've got from this so far is, Make sure to get a front clip. 2nd gen is easier to find , and so are the parts , plus its cheaper. 3rd gen is more HP and easier wiring. The 3rd gen sounds more like what I want based on HP and the fact it's newer. If I did get a 3rd gen front clip im guessing I would have almost all of what i needed ? Other than front drive shafts? Im probably missing a ton of things here but im a noob please have patience. I'd like to know the difference in price comparison between the two, just for curiosity sake. Now for the Jarcoinc site tip , thanks. So they have no inventory on the site , I have to call them and inquire about their 3sgte inventory ? The fact that I know very little about engines etc makes this step a hard one. All I really know is I want a good 3sgte in my car asap , lol. But I do realize based on what i've read on this forum that this procedure could take a nice amount of time in gathering the stuff I need. Again thanks to everyone giving me advice on this very difficult project! |

Thanks for the response. Ok so how do you know your getting a good 3sgte then. I've seen some people on here mention the venus-auto place , I see them on ebay but im always iffy about going that route because the pics are generic for all their 3s engines they sell. What year / generation 3sgte is good to get or does this matter if your going to rebuild the engine anyway? |

How do you know your getting a good 3sgte? My plan is to get all that i need and get my brother to pretty much do it because I don't know what im doing when it comes to this http://www.venus-auto.com/inventory/toyota/i-st215.htm Is that a good engine? What about V6 swaps, the engines seem much cheaper. Would they be better than the 3sgte? http://youtube.com/watch?v=8hvv5qGRbEA this GT4 is insane, can anyone enlighten me on what he has done to make it that nice ? Bottom line i have to get a better engine for my car its to sweet to be an ST ![]() |

I tryed doing this with the manuals and i found them very confusing. My suggestion would be to take of both rear wheels and drums and use one side for reference. Worked perfect for me ![]() |
