Just turned 52 this week and I am on my third GT4, 90 & 92 ST185s and currently my 96 ST205. All were/are daily driven, year round. Driving to work and back is my anti-depressant drug of choice. I used to love the look of the first Celicas when they showed up in the 70's (not so much in the mid-80's) in North America. When I was able to get my hands on the reasonably priced JDM GT4s, I was all over it. |

I actually bought some of those from Lifts Support Depot this summer (from mrlousstuff on ebay). They fit perfectly, worked great and I had them changed out in minutes. |

My suggestion wasn't the best, just the easiest. azian_advanced suggested the best way to wire your lights. Another consideration you might have is what future plans you have for the vehicle; alarms, stereo, etc. If you really want to do it up right, you could add an electrical/relay block in the engine bay to keep everything neat and tidy. Find your ACC source (if you don't have the ST205 repair manual supplement for chassis and body for wiring diagrams, you might be able to find them online or shoot me an email and I can send you a copy - it's 65M pdf, though). These two pics are from Car Craft; http://www.carcraft.com/howto/116_0507_top...ectrical_fixes/ Basic (+) 12VDC block: ![]() A relay control to provide a "switched" (+/-) 12VDC block with ignition on: ![]() Seven circuit auxiliary fuse block with 3 hot/always on and 4 switched/ignition circuits. You can get smaller 2 circuit versions also. ![]() If you decide to put a Dukes of Hazard horn in your GT4, you might need one of these... |

Jeebus, you could get your ignition voltage off of one of the relay boxes. Use a meter to make sure you get a point that gets 12 Volts DC with the ignition turned on. *I would recommend making sure that circuit can handle the extra load. ![]() |

This is one of the better write-ups I have seen on a car forum, great step-by-step guide with pictures. I have a set of JDM projectors waiting to go into my 96 ST205 and was looking into doing this mod and this thread has the best information on the subject I could find. Since it has been awhile, I wonder if anybody that has done this mod has noticed any problems with the seals (moisture inside the lenses)? |

I recently bought a set of projectors off of ebay and was pleasantly surprised not only by how good of condition they were in, but also by the attention to packaging that was taken. The box was jammed full of bubble wrap and each light was individually wrapped as well. They had folded up small pieces of cardboard and inserted them under the tabs before wrapping the bubble wrap tightly in place so they were as secure as possible. Nice bit of attention to detail that I liked by the seller. |
