For those of you who say the price is high... did you notice the obro? do you know what that means?

Also, do you know how much money goes into the body work, the tranny swap, the paint, the race seats, etc?

If you want a car that looks like this you're going to spend way over $4000 to have it done. just remember that. Buying this car is cheaper then doin up your own.

Also, if you're not interested in buying this car or you have something negative to say then don't post on here.

The problem rally is having right now is finding offroads to race on. Up here in Maine we lost 60% of our special stages due to sold property and a lack of understanding of the sport. We're trying to get this even as public as possible. The locals love the events but it's the big logging companies who are based out of state who need to sign the permission letters for us to race.
So, my point is that no the sport itself won't die out but we've had to cancel a lot of races in north america so far because of a lack of support. SPREAD THE WORD! I work at NAPA in maine and I tell as many people as are willing to hear. I keep my "Maine Forest Rally" plaque in my front car window so people will ask me about it. I think I'll make a bunch of bumper stickers and give them out at NAPA.

I emailed the author of the petition to get more information such as why SpeedTV dropped the WRC and what it will take to get it back on the air. I'm awaiting his response. As soon as I hear I will post the answers.

Bella.. LOL "even tho you don't like me" sorry sounds funny.

Yeah NASCAR isn't going anywhere! We're just trying to get more alternative motorsports back on TV so they will thrive again and not die out.

Thanks for your support guys! Copy and paste the petition address to your friends over AIM or Yahoo.. it will help a lot.

I would be doing this even if I didn't like these sports just because it takes a second to do and it could save peoples careers and dreams. One day I would like to be a rally driver but that won't be possible if it dies out.

Have all your friends sign. The count went up over 2,000 people in 16 hours. We're over 10,000 now!

If WRC was kept on TV and remained a popular sport, maybe Toyota would have thought it was worth it to continue making Alltracs. Subaru is pushing their Rally cars.. I think that's the only thing saving the WRC by making it known in america just what it is.

BRING NON-NASCAR MOTORSPORTS BACK TO SPEED CHANNEL!!!!!!!

user posted imageuser posted imageuser posted image[/SIZE]
We are petitioning SpeedTV and Fox Cable to resurrect programming now either lost completely, programming which is broadcast off-hours (11pm-5am), or programming which could be extended or increased. This programming includes:

-Formula One
-World Rally
-Grand Prix and Circuit Racing
-SCCA Racing
-Motorcycle Racing
-Dakar Rally

Speed Channel is flooded with NASCAR and dumb reality shows that rerun and rerun and rerun. Lets get some great sports on TV again!

WE NEED 65,000 SIGNATURES so please tell your friends!
**
**

The reason why this is so crucial to motorsports is that if media coverage is discontinued teams will lose sponsors! Without sponsors teams will not be able to afford to compete! Rally is already in great need of volunteers to work events. Money is tight and entry fees will continue to rise. Please save this sport by signing the petition for more media coverage! And it's just way cool to be able to see the WRC on TV! smile.gif

Please do it for Travis Pastrana, Stig Blomqvist, Patrick Richard, and if no one else, then do it for me!
**
**

PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION!

I kind of bought my celi off ebay. It was 2 states over so I just called them up and asked to test drive. We did a private sale. Sellers prefer that because of less work and there may be something about paying ebay for the sale (?)

I'm moving to Florida for 6 months (Nov-May) and I was wondering if there were any Celica meets in the Fort Myers area or anywhere in Florida.

Looking desperately for:

6Gen GT 5spd with less than 180k miles

I don't care about body condition as long as it's inspectable. I do care about serious structural rust.

Preferably no modifications done to it and preferably owner has not beat the crap out of it.

Somewhere around the North East US or Canada (I'm in maine).

$3,000-4,000

Just my 2 cents:

I'm not sure what your plan would be to fit them but this is what you will come across: The hood is bumped up to blend down to the lights so you'll have 4 bumps (2 on each side) that lead to.... one light (it won't look right). Your would have to body fill/fiber glass the crap out of the hood to make it blend into the single lights. Getting a hood from a different car like a supra or 5th gen would be out of the question because they won't fit flush with the fenders and [in the case of the supra] the hood would simply be too big.

The other thing is: It seems like you plan on cutting out space in the bumper cover for the new lights. The bumper cover is made out of urithane and extremely hard to work with. It will be very hard to make it look right. you'll have to buy the top-of-the-line products to custom fabricate the bumper around the new lights. Fiberglass doesn't adhere well to urithane. Body filler doesn't stay on urithane at all. The reason is that urithane bumpers are made to flex- Body filler and fiber glass are not.

It definitely sounds like a good project tho and I'd love to see progress pictures as you do it (if you do it). Keep me posted and good luck!

Hey I don't want to be annoying by posting the same link, but it has helped me out MANY MANY TIMES!

www.car-parts.com
You can search nation wide and/or near your house. I looked up a headlight once and found there was one at some rinky-dink salvage yard about 3 miles from me.

Try it out!

Not all blacks are the same. If they were painted in different years it won't match perfectly. your paint may be slightly dull compared to the spoiler unless you have a fresh paint job. Either way.. it will be pretty close. To have that buffed, painted, and polished it would have cost you about 200 bucks.

Good deal in that case.

Whoops! I meant 205 50 r16 (just checked). not that it makes a big difference. Company said it won't make a difference at all. But I'll research what you mentioned because i'm curious to know.

I like that green celi, tho. At first glance it looks awkward with the big hole in the side. Almost looks accidental. But after a min of lookin at it.. I like it a lot smile.gif Kinda like the mr2.

Well I happen to like the red car. In fact, I happen to like all 6th gens no matter what has been done to them. It's unique and well done and that's all that matters. If you start a theme (no matter how dumb it seems) and you pull it off, then congrats to you. You can see a lot of thought went into that car. A lot of people make fun of my car and especially my wing. I just tell them "To each his own. I didn't do this body work to please you." Not everyone is going to like a particular car. It's a difference of opinion. Just don't hate on people for doing something different to their car. Appreciate the fact that they are enthusiasts.
