I have nothing against the 6gc, in fact I'm planning to get one as soon as I get out of basic. But I have a question. The other night I was just cruising around and a 6gc GT pulled up next to me at a stoplight. I don't really know what this guy was thinking, but he revved and I just sat there. He had an exaust and a CAI ( at least I think it was a CAI, i could hear the intake ). When the light turned green, we both floored it. He got a little ahead of me, but when I hit about 60, the race was over. I shot ahead and completly lost the Celica. In case you're wondering, I drive a '78 Lincoln Mark V with a 460 engine. The engine is factory rated at 212hp, I'm not sure of the torque number. The engine is in pretty bad shape, and on the last rebuild they put in a truck cam. Anyways... My question is, can I make my Celica ( once I get it ) fast enough to beat my Mark V? |

All you really need is a 1n4001, 50V is plenty for a car and you probably won't exceed the 1 amp load. Plus they're cheap. Forget eBay, go onto DigiKey and you can get 100 for $13 |
