Any pics? Where are you at in Raleigh? Where are you moving to?

No picture yet. Maybe I will try to get some tonight. I will move to CA.

I am at NCSU.

Hello,

I liked my 6GC, but have to move to another state far way from Raleigh, NC.

New tires, new state inspection. Everything runs in good condition except no stereo.

How about $3,000?

Sold it for $2,700, had to do it quick.

orignal should be 185/70/14, right?

I got the car three weeks ago. Just found the tire is 195/70/14! (steel rims)

195 is wider than 185, right?

Do you have the radio pocket and brackets used to mount it?

very stable on highway; (Better than my 4gen Camry)
can do fast turn but no much body rolling; (partly due to the comfortable seats);
spring is just good, not too stiff and not too soft;
steering feels also just ok, not too heavy and not too soft ;

Although, my ST only 110hp, each when I start at 3k+ RPM, I still get a "quick" start smile.gif

I like her very much.

In my opinion, handling better than the Scion tC I tested.

Yeah if you let the clutch all the way out and have no power at the wheels, the clutch is almost done.

I can still just use the clutch with no gas start the car on a flat road.

So the clutch is still ok, right?

set the parking brake

put it in 1st, and try to get moving

if the car stalls, or starts moving, the clutch is OK

if it continues to rev while hardly moving, then its time to replace it.

I happened to try this on R gear. smile.gif It can overcome the parking break.

hmm... or, go 2k RPM on second.  Then, floor the gas.  If your RPM shoots up but the car's not responding (or not as responsive), then your clutch is old and most likely needs replacement.  If your RPM needle goes up slowly along with our car's slow acceleration, then don't worry bout it =)

Thanks for the tip. I tried it, it seems my baby still runs strongly if I floor the gas at 2nd. RPM up fast but steady, speed to 35+mph
Tthe clutch point a little bit high from the floor.

By the way, the 6gc at least sounds like a fast car, smile.gif

Well thats an AWFUL lot to do a clutch change. I think you should definately get at least a second opinion if not a third.

Also, thats LOW mileage for an 94 so 3,000 is definately not too much.

  also windshield cracks+ radio stolen+ driver seat worn out frown.gif

And the easiest way to tell if your clutch is close to on its way out is where in the pedal travel the clutch is engaging. Which means, when your lifting your foot off the clutch, how far can the clutch pedal come up before the car starts moving? If it is almost all the way up and its not moving yet (engaging) then your clutch is pretty worn. If the pedal is close to the floor and you feel the clutch engaging, its newer.

Thank you very much.

94 st 105K

Just got a quote: 710$ including parts 200, labor 500 sth.

I think I paid to much for the car $3,000 if the clutch need to be changed soon.

What will happen if the clutch goes really bad?

Thanks

they sell kits online with the leather pre cut for you interior.  or if not then maybe an upholstery shop could.  i heard you can get it for $800.  I don't know if thats too much though.

Where can I just buy the leather for the driver seat only with fair price? Since I never sit in the other seats when my car is moving. smile.gif I would like to spend the extra money to get a set of 7th gc rims or other things.

It seems that they all sell as a complete set. I quoted a local store (classic soft trim):

whole package 11XX+tax, one seat: 5XX. If the price for one seat is below 300, I may consider.

The driver seat side was worn out. The ugly seat doesn't match the beatiful 6gc body. frown.gif

I want to get a good looking and tightly fit seat cover. or put leather on it?

Thanks

I just got a 94 ST. The raido/CD player was stolen. Need the two metal brackets.

Hopefully someone out here has them for sale.

I couldn't find them on ebay.

Is 3,000 a fair price for 94 ST hatchback with about 100k miles? Will get it next week.

Just felt the Car still running good (I don't how to drive a stick shift yet:)
