my bad...I guess what I mean, is that I really dont want a car that tends to understeer like the fwd cars do. I can not all out "drift" here, but can certainly push the performance. The awd or rwd is superior to the fwd in this area. Plus, would be fun in the snow that we get here. I guess that the problem for me is that I love that 6 gen body style so much, that I almost want to hold out for an imported 6gen one. The price of a 5gen would be a nice down on an imported one. But, I think that I am really crazy here, cause the chances of me actually being able to afford an imported car, let alone getting my hands on one for real...is totally insane. you are right, if I want the GT-4, then I should leap at the opportunity to have one, and here it is...in the 5th gen |

OK...so here is the deal: The only thing that I can think about is a stinking GT-4. I dream of them, imagine myself driving one anytime I am behind a wheel. It is just so sick, how could I let something consume me this much? What made me fall in love with them is the 6gen body style, then with research, I found out that america gets jipped that year with only fwd cars. Thus, the GT-4 becomes my ultimate dream. It is just so hard for me to justify a fwd car, cause out hear, I have the most perfect roads for drifting. The dilema: There is a very nice 5th gen GT-4 for sale. but it is not 6th gen. 5gc...GT-4 OR the body syle that I am madly in love with...6gc???? some opinions would be great here, I am so torn on weather or not to jump on the chance to own a GT-4, even though it is not the 6g. Part of me says, turbo, AWD, good deal. The other part of me says, but the 6gen is what you really love about 'em. Thanks for some help! |

I think that you guys are right when you suggest that one reason the 7th gen is not so liked is b/c of the NON-Rally-car thing. But, I think that uncontiously we dont care for them b/c of how popular the 7th gen ones got. It is really nice to have a car (like the 6th gen) that people can truly appreciate when they see/own them since not every block has one parked on the street. And, of course the fact that they are just the best looking car ever. I have to admit, i dont "hate" the 7th gen, per say, but they really don't do anything for me either. But show me a 6th gen and my blood temp goes up from the excitment!!! I wish that I could shake myself of the love for this car. But I just can't! |

[QUOTE]BTW The Gt Four only comes with a Manual Transmission![QUOTE] That sure is good to hear, I would just hate to see a car like that with an auto. Do you all know what would be involved in doing a swap? ...(please consider that I am new at all of this and really dont have a clu here, which is why I joined this site)... Would it be possible/feasable/reasonable to get one of the 5th gen cars and put the drive line, and engine into a 6th gen car? I am so totally in LOVE with the 6th gen that I would not want to part with that, but at the same time, must have an all-wheel drive car and manual tranny. The turbo is a HUGE plus, but if I was doing some kind of self-modified car, adding a turbo is really no big deal to me. Bear with me here, I am blonde too, so if any of these brainstorms are totally out of whack and not possible, please dont be too hard on me ;o) Thanks all! |

that is what I was afraid of...the only one that I found for sale is a '91 model. Oh well...I can always dream, and you never know, maybe someday I can import one. Why do we always get jipped on the good cars in America? |

Hello all! All I do is dream about having one of these beauties...can you help me? I am looking for a 1994 GT-Four manual tranny ONLY. I would prefer the body and running condition to be good, but can handle some problems...I would enjoy fixing it up a little bit too ;o) I live on the west coast, so close by would be great, but also not a requirement. I can handle a road trip and do have family all over the US. I am on MSN a lot...sign in is "Sibbea" if you want to IM me. Or just send an e-mail. THANX! |
