QUOTE(creis @ Feb 1, 2006 - 12:23 AM) QUOTE dude you would have to be a complete idiot to think you need a bypass valve for a stock intake system lol, are you calling me an idiot or agreeing with me? you can put any size CAI on your car you want, there are many types of brand name CAI or you can make a custum one yourself (what i have) since all a CAI is, is metel pipe with a filter on the end, with whatever size/angeled pipe(s) you want so that you can put the filter anywhere you want. whitch is why no one can tell you want size pipe yours is. I'm sorry I asumed you were a noob but what your asking was pretty basic. lol man you guys need to chill.. i am not calling you an idiot. i am agreeing with ya.. lol |

QUOTE(creis @ Jan 31, 2006 - 8:43 PM) anyway, if you have a stock intake there is NO need for a bypass valve (coming from someone who has one) dude you would have to be a complete idiot to think you need a bypass valve for a stock intake system. but thanks for trying. i didn't know that they made different size piping for your guys aftermarket intakes. with my car there is only one size, unless somebody makes it bigger themselves, which is usually pointless. |

i am not a newbie to cars guys i have a 03 v6 tiburon with a cai. i don't need to be told what needs and what doesn't need a CAI. i don't have a bypass valve on my intake, but she would like one just in case. we live in Miami, FL where it does rain a lot so she would like to take some sort of precaution. |

alright i am gonna ask a random question right now, but bear with the fact that i don't own a celica, my friend does and she wants to get a bypass valve for the CAI. the only thing is i don't know what size piping the intake piping is to get the bypass valve. So my question is what is the size of the piping for the 1.8L engine in the 97 celicas? |
