hi i am having a problem where when the car is in neutral a rev it up to 3000 and hold it then slowly increase the rpms it jumps from 3150 to 4000 with no pedal effort it also does this at the same rpm when im driving the car under load in a higher gear it jumps like that aswell

new info
i can put it in gear when the car is off and start it car sounds like its hard to turn over meaning that its turning the input shaft when starting i can drive threw the gears but there is alot of resistance on the shifter and it sometimes wont go into gear unless i shut the car off and put it in gear then restart it

hi guys i have a 5sfte celica i had to replace my clutch out due to the more power from the turbo so i get the car done a start it up and it wont go into gear when first staring and when it does i let off the brake and the car pulls like the clutch isnt fully disengaging i tried bleeding the slave cylinder thinking air was in the system but still has the problem.
i have installed
f1 racing clutch stage 2
fidanza lightweight flywheel
new throwout bearing
bleed slave cylinder
put 40w gear oil in transmission
adjusted clutch pedal free play

the tranny uses 75-90 gear oil, not 40W.
if the clutch isnt disengaging, and the slave is working, the problem is prolly the clutch itself.

do you think the gear oil would have something to do with it not shifting into gear it works fine when selecting gears when the car isnt running but when i start it it wont go into gear due to the input shaft turning and on the slave cylinder i checked for possible leaks and didnt find any is there
any other checks to perform

you need to make sure the slave is actually working.
have someone step on the clutch pedal, while you verify that the slave cylinder rod is actually moving the clutch fork.

yeah its working i had my dad press the clutch pedal in an out several times and i tested for a leak but fully compressing the clutch and jamming a prybar between the pedal and the seat keeping the slave cylinder out to see if it would leak and after 20 mins it didnt move

then you prolly installed the clutch disk backward, or installed the TOB wrong.

clutch was labeled flywheel side and throwout bearing just sits on with clips to fork

the clutch could be set in the transmission wrong too.

when i installed the clutch i checked it to see if it was flush and i checked it with the installation tool and the tool fit in with no problem 3 times and i pulled the boot of the fork and the disk looks center and the pressure plate fingers seem fine

possibly clutch master or slave cylinder is binding... i had the same problem, replaced both and now its fine. if that still doesnt work, replace lines, there might be a leak. good luck

chechked the slave cylinder everything checked out thanks for input but problem continues

it should be set like stock, 10*BTDC.

your prolly choking on fuel, especially if your just starting tuning, at low boost.

the less boost your running, the more fuel you will need to remove with the SAFC

plus the factor that someone told me to set it at 8* timing that wouldnt help either so your saying that i need to remove more fuel ont the top end to allow it to go up the rpms or is the bottom end screwing things up

hey guys i just recently purchased my new ct-26 after seeing that my old one compresure shaft blew and it runs great now for the little fixes

1) the factory o2 sensor how do you install it into the 3sgte down pipe

2) i have a apexi safc neo where to mount it

3) is the iat sensor that plugs into the intake needed anymore

4) i live in newark delaware anyone know someone who can tune my car

1) it should fit into the 3's downpipe perfectly.

3) yes, have it drilled into the intake pipes close to the TB

sorry i meant the wire do you just cut and extend it or what

when i take the air filter off the compressor wheel doesnt spin but i can fre-spin it by hand and i dont have any intercooler piping setup yet i know the seals are probally blown but i would think i would still get boost i can move the wastegate rod ok and i did turn the turbo housing a little for clearance issues do you think that may have something to do with it

you have no intercooler piping in the car?!?!?! if thats true you wont build boost number one and number two thats not too smart to run the car like that

QUOTE(1994toyotaracer @ Apr 6, 2008 - 5:38 PM)

is it possible to take the center section out of the turbine housing without removing it from the exhaust manifold to see if the wheels have damage

no

i was told you could boost up to 9 psi anything more you would need a intercooler setup
