Hafkai bro,
I've sold my previous 7afte (stock engine, wrx td04-13t, emanage blue, Ron97) to my friend. On my hand, im boosting 1.1bar for 2 years and now with him another 2 years. So far no issue except head gasket burnt once.

now im going to go for it again except with IHI Vf35 turbo and standalone haltech sprint 500. Will push to 1.3bar and see how it go. smile.gif since you're going to rebuilt, why not push it to max?

Yes i have a stock C52, the tranny seems to have no problem with turbo power. I only got some problems with my synchronizers but thats due to the harsh shifting on the track.

Is there anyway to make the synchronizers stronger?

Thanks guys... engine is still running and it would run just fine after small repair (rings, seals and stuff) and of course if I push it less (lower boost for 20%). But that is what I do not want... I do not want silly 180HP smile.gifwink.gif. That's why I will rebuild it completely and push bit higher. Only I wish I had source for complete 2.0L stroker kit for 7AFE... I can't find anyone who sells that frown.gif.

note: yes I still have been using stock 7AFE tranny (even stock axles) and it works fine... no troubles at all

u can use oversize gze piston though.

I sold my entire 7afte setup months ago thinking to sell of my car but now since i've decided to keep it, im going to do another rebuilt, a better setup.

Im going slightly bigger then thn Nissan S15 stock T28 turbo. Previous i was on WRX td04L-13T turbo. Im a fan of responsive hence not going any bigger since my target is 200whp.

I may looking into ceramic coating my 7afe rod and piston also may looking into stacking up another piece of head gasket. Just to be sure although i do know on stock it should not have any problem (my ex setup fetch me 168whp with leak manifold)

by the way, perhaps you can find this usefull

Well, I finally got around putting the head in. I ended up returning the Cometic 4A-GE headgasket and getting an OEM dual layer metal one. Car started up fine, but I noticed compression went back to 210, from 185 that was with the thicker, crappier headgasket it had before. No biggie. I'll try to see if I can get this thing dynoed this week (please Lord, let me finally do this) and have some numbers for you guys. Another goodie is that my registration expires this month, which means it'll be an excuse to drop it off at the bodyshop the 31st to get it fixed and painted. biggrin.gif

Hi OOBE,
so does your Cometic 4A-GE headgasket fit in 7AFE?

this is what i've found on other source

This motor had a fixed dizzy, you cant adjust the timing like on a normal 7afe motor.
These sensors may act as crank angle sensors, dont know yet. This sensor is in the head positioned at a slight angle (45deg)
http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/Ewird/Image034.jpg
This sensor is at the bottom of the motor and mounts to the oilpump,so the oil pump's body is different to our normal 7AFE's
http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/Ewird/Image035.jpg . Here's a pic of the crank angle sensor,part nr:90919-05011.Have a red and a white wire on it:
http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/Ewird/Image043.jpg
And here's were it came out, between the oil pump and cambelt crank pulley. If you look on the pic the the hole were the sensor fits in have a crank angle wheel. Its visible on the pic bu I'll take a better 1 when I can get the pully off
http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/Ewird/Image045.jpg . Here's a pic of the crank angle wheel, its part of the cam crank pulley:
http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l2/Ewird/Image050.jpg
Its a 34-2 wheel so I don't know what aftermarket management will be able to work on it???

All the while i thought all 7afe ignition was distributor type however i was being told by a workshop that there is a model not using distirbutor type. I had some debate with him but he seems very sure that there is such model. He even pointed to me 7afe head "with a sample" is like and not GE head that he is talking about.

Anyone any idea?

any updates? i had a few problems with my 4afte including turbo problems. my turbo was a rebuilt t25 and was assembled incorrectly. it has alot of resistance when you spin it. i mean i spin it with everything i have and i might get 3-4 revolutions of the impeller, but it still manages 11-12 unregulated psi and spools around 2500 rpms. it pulls... barelly spinning the cheap 18" soft tires at the end of first. but its still too slow. when i first set it up i only made 1-2 psi and they all turned out to be boost leaks.make sure your vacuum line to the rack is disconnected and your intake aint boosting your valve cover and so on. a boost leak tester is very valuable and will become you freind if its not already. so your emanage is running your car alright. i bought mine off ebay and destroyed it a year later.... ive been running a vortech fmu and i monitor my wideband closelly. hopefully ill have the money to order the new turbo and megasquirt tommorow i was hoping to have it today. stupid insurance people. but i cant decide between gt2871-gt2876-gt3076r.

Did you cut and paste this section? coz it sounds funny to me.

Im having problem with EVC5 on my 7AFTE.

I confirmed all my connection is correct (follow the user manual). Whn i set my boost regulated at 80kpa and warning at 100kpa, i can boost all the way up to 110kpa and evc will thn drop my boost to stock actuator limit. My EVC doesnt hold boost at all.

Also understand EVC5 can dial all the way to 250kpa. I cant set 250kpa warning but on controller volume knob, max dial (turn all the way) can only it go 100kpa as per-show in on the screen.

Is there something wrong with my EVC?

seriously xingingteg, i would to say get another ride. To achieve 250whp on 4A/7A is not diff and not easy also. Its how much $$$ u willing to dump in. From the earlier post, you've mentioned selling your ride off with good 6G top up, you could get yourself a 300xz. If you sum up the cost of those items that you wanna get, its already there
