Well I don't really have to, but I decided to try selling my celica. I'm not in a hurry to get rid of it would just be nice to have it gone by July. The celica is more valuable than my civic I drive back and forth to work, so figured it would make more sense to try moving the celica. It's in way too nice of shape to turn into a beater. I had plans for my celica but ended up getting even more into bikes, so kinda lost some interest in the car thing and have not had the extra funds needed to buy car stuff. I'd love to see someone from this site who loves 6th gens get their hands on this as opposed to just anybody. Please feel free to ask any questions.

I could be wrong, but I was assuming one would do a vinyl wrap like the pic whatthe posted using vinyl for graphics since the title of the thread was wrapping vinyl. Seems like it would be a lot of work to do a soft top/rag top look with vinyl auto upholstery. Just sticking vinyl would be a lot easier/cheaper/quicker. With a lil heat and patience you can wrap backs of mirrors/door handles/licence plate frames/etc fairly easily.

Any sign/graphics shop with digital printing capabilities should be able to help you out. For instance they could make the letters a color you want then print on the color of vinyl you want. That's if a sign supply company already doesn't have that pattern for sale. I checked with a company I use to buy rolls of vinyl from, but I don't see an LV pattern they only have carbon fiber etc...lol Good luck; will be anxious to see pics of your job completed.

stock 5sfe 99 GT w/ manual trans (odo. 95,000 mi.) 30-34 MPG

drive 50-65 mi. a day, some highway, some backroads

use to get 30-32 MPG using 89 octane and a bottle of gumout injector cleaner or full fuel system cleaner from time to time / then I tried a different brand of full fuel system cleaner 1 time about 2 months ago and now I consistently get 33-34 MPG on 89 octane

Looks like a good time. I actually designed t-shirts for that specific event...they never got back to my company tho, so I guess they went elsewhere since it was last weekend. Hopefully I'll have my Celi back autocrossing again this year.

Thanks for all the feedback. I went with the Dunlop Direzzas. Part of my decision was cause the Dunlops ended up being less $ with the $50 rebate Dunlop offered. I really like them so far. I've been running them for over 2 weeks now (over 1 k mi.) They are every bit as sticky if not even better than the BF's I ran b4 when it comes to dry & wet conditions ($20 something less per tire too). The only thing I am dissapointed with is the snow traction during acceleration. We ended up getting 3 or 4 days in a row here with some late snow and these tires just wanted to spin when pulling out. Once I was up to speed tho they handled great (exceptionally well off road). I actually avoided a head on collision. A Titan & a Trailblazer were sliding in the other lane. The Titan caught the guardrail and got smashed up. The Trailblazer swerved around the Titan and was sliding head on towards me in my lane. I was able to maintain control and had enough traction to swerve off the road, go over a bank down into a field. Then I drove 30 ft or so thru the field up a slight slope to where I could get back onto the road....lol.

I'm looking at both tires in a 205/55 for the stock 15"s. Both brands - 4 tires + shipping ends up within 5 bucks of each other, so price doesn't matter. They both have the same speed rating as well. I know a few people run the Falkens, but I haven't heard much about the Direzzas. I've run BF Goodrich Traction T/A in the past, but I was dissapointed how they wore after autocrossing, so I want to try something different (less expensive). I've used Dunlop tires on 2 of my street bikes and liked them, but I've never had any experience with their car tires. I've done my research and I'm not interested in any other tires. I'm only interested in one of the two in the poll, so please don't tell me I should buy some other brand. If you have used either one of these tires I would appreciate any comments or feedback as to what u liked/didn't like and such. Right now this car is a daily driver, so I'm choosing these tires cause I drive 80 mi + a day, but plan on autocrossing several weekends this summer.

I saw a commercial twice now within the last month where there is a 6GC parked on a cement pad under a roof in the background. I forget what the ad is for, but it's only for a split second while a woman is talking that if you look over her shoulder and out the window you can see this car. Hopefully someone else has seen it. The first time I saw it, I was like..."no, that can't be" caused it flashed so quick. It was weeks later b4 I saw the commercial again, but I did verify my assumption, although I forgot to remember what the ad was for. I don't remember what channel I saw it on either. Anybody???

I used my stock turn signals, but took a dremel tool and made the openings in the bumper a little bigger (longer) for the signals to fit in.

Sorry to hear what happened. I kinda feel for ya cause I just wrecked mine this morning in that white stuff called snow. I'm gonna need a new front end, possibly a hood, or fenders. I was wondering....where did you buy your parts from? Are you going with a different color paint this time around or sticking with black?
