WOW, you guys on the other side of the world get really good mpg on the celica.
I'm getting around 22mpg on mine and thats the healthiest it has ever been.
Maybe something is wrong with it...... i wish i could get over 30 mpg

Hey guys,
This guy i know drove his 05 Toyota Corolla Sportivo off a clift a while back n i'm thinking of buying his leather seats do you think it will fit our celica?
Hes selling it for $400 (AUS) so thats around $350 US a good price for a excellent condition seat.

If i do need to modify it to fit.. how would i do it? I really want those leather seats, make my car look more luxurious n stylish

what do u guys reckon?

Some good news some bad, insurance is paying for the radiator but i have to pay for heater core.
Expensive to get the heater core done, labour and part. Guess i have to move on and continue keeping the celica, spent heaps of money on fixing it already

Yes Bitter the mechanic did bill the insurance n pocketed the money, hes all piss off now cause insurance is giving him a hard time

I got a call from the Radiator place today (a friend of the panel beater) telling me all these lies for 15 mins, stuff like:

1. your car is 11 years old, the radiator was going to go anyway, it has nothing to do with the accident
http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e372/naked007/P3010003.jpg
You guys look at the pic and tell me if the radiator cracked because of the accident?

2. Celicas are known for bad radiators, they get old, rusty and crack easilly

3. You broke the Heater core after you left the mechanic, meaning hes not responsible for the car anymore
(errrrr what a load of sh$t)

4. Your heater core is old, we checked it and it was going to go anyway

i'm so mad at the shifty bugger!

QUOTE(Bitter @ Aug 4, 2007 - 12:31 PM)

so go to someone else? is he the ONLY one down under that can fix your car?

Its cause the accident was claim by insurance, so this panel beater didn't do the job in fixing the radiator properly. So hes liable for doing everything until the job is well done. I would love to go somewhere else, just stuck with him.

Cheers mate

Hey guys,
about a couple of months ago i was in an accident, someone hit my front right hand side of the car..
and it cracked the radiator a bit, the panel beater just place some glue on top of it... n recently its leaking so i took it back to get it fixed... ONCE again he put more glue on it, I'M NOT TOO HAPPY..

But the problem is now... i think theres another crack somewhere else... because coolant water is leaking inside the car. the front passenger side.....

I want to know is this a serious problem? does it need alot of work to fix all these radiator problems..
I know for a fact i need a new radiator for sure... but do i need to change other stuff??

any comment would help alot

THanks

hi vsideboy,
thanks for that, although i was hoping for another alternative. Taking the head light out require taking the front bumper bar off and i have a body kit so it is a fairly big job. If it is the last resort i will try what you said.

Unless someone else had experienced it maybe could share their stories with me

Thanks

Hi guys,
After reading the previous posts on adjusting the headlights i notice mine wasn't high enough, so today i went out and adjust it to make it higher and more to the side. The right hand side headlights turned out great.

As i start twisting the left headlights it went up slowly, all of a sudden it just drop down all the way to the bottom even worst than it started. After that, which ever way i twisted the screw won't work, it won't go up or down frown.gif . I know you can twist it to a point where it just stops, i didn't know it just stuffed the whole thing up.

HELP!

I'm not 100% sure about America, in australia its really really hard to import a gt4/ssii/ssiii
because we already produce the celica SX and ZR, the government is trying to protect
Australian Cars against import.. they want people to spend money buying australian cars and keep the money in Australia. Especially since we produce celica already.....
if its a car we don't produce.. its not that hard...

QUOTE(Jen @ Mar 22, 2006 - 3:45 AM)

Ouch.. I was also in something similar a year or so ago, except I was driving at the time. It was raining and night time, and I was stopped at a redlight and some butthole ran right into me. Then, as I preceeded to pull off in the parking lot right next to us, he sped off. This was a COMPANY VAN with one of those things in the front with cones. It left a huge dent in my bumper. This was the second time in two months someone hit me from behind (no pun intended), but this was the only time it caused damage.

ahhh thats bad, did you manage to get the guy? i hope u did...
i know i can never get the guy that hit me

btw naked, sorry to hear that......but they could have done it w/out knowing.....those cars w/hitchs don't have very much feel
~snap

thanks snap, yer i know.. they prob can't estimate how long their car is

mad.gif arrrggghhh i'm so angry mad.gif
i park my car at the university car park as usual...
when i return to the car to drive it home i notice my whole front bumper is shattered
a huge 15 cm crack right in the middle front and at the bottom its all shattered into pieces
i don't know if it can be fix
i think some D**k reverse his car into my celica.. and his car has that towing thingy so that jab through the front and cracked everything
i'm so mess up now... i rather spend money upgrading the car.. not fixing
this isn't fair!
