No worries man! wink.gif I'd just hate to see someone have their dreams crushed by getting a lemon! lol
Patience or really knowing what your doing is the key to buying the right vehicle my friend.
It's definitely a good idea to stick to a newer 6gc as possible...

make sure you get your wheels balanced as well as aligned.
Apparently that's what's wrong with mine, but they said the cv shafts are off and need replacing too.
Considering these are 15-20 yearold cars we're talking about unless it has had major service in the last 100,000 kilometres just about all the major performance components should be checked and replaced accordingly anyway.

Ill update again once ive had my wheels and such done

from what i've heard sometimes it does...
i'm hoping that it's just alignment and suspension and not the gear box or diff....$$$
Have you checked you're engine mounts? Mine were fubar and since i changed them shaking went from violent to moderately severe.
I will update tomorrow.

I have a good set for sale (from Japan). No broken tabs, but being shipped long distance that is always a risk. Can be shipped EMS express or sea mail, depending on budget and requirements. Message me if you're interested smile.gif

Hey Josh, didn't know you we're on 6gc as well. I've actually been looking for a set from someone in Aus.
Could you please pm me the details also? (I havent figured out the pm function on 6gc yet) =P

Currently a similar issue between 80-100km/h with other symptoms in between.
I'm taking mine in for a full vehicle test and inspection tomorrow inlcuding road testI'll let you know the results which may help to eliminate your problem.

But you may be right about alignment, i have my suspicion that my issue may partly be the same.

An almost 17 year old car, completely stock, many functions not working, been through a whole bunch of freezing weather, been in a major collision and pulling to one side?!?
Alarm bells are going off in my head dude. Imagine what else is wrong with it that they're not telling you. thumbsdown.gif

Now to second part of your question: can it be retrofited? Yes it can smile.gif. Since I have JDM model and in Europe is rear foglight madatory I did that on my Celica. It is easy job and in fact there are many ways how to do that.

Thanks for the info malpaso. It was actually your old thread that prompted me to start this one. tongue.gif
Do you have any info on how to retrofit rear fogs to JDM tails like you did? Did you just put the tail/break light in the first red lens after the turning signal and the fog behind the reflector red lens?

QUOTE (BonzaiCelica @ Aug 6, 2014 - 4:26 PM) *
i find it funny how toyota managed to leave that little imprint on the a/c panel for markets that didn't' even require the rear fog

I know right! That's what had me thinking about all this in the first place! laugh.gif

I've been searching A LOT the last few weeks before posting anything and have have come across the EDM rear fog light several times.

Now, my question is.... does the Australian market rear light assembly come plug and play ready for a rear fog light add-on? If yes, factory or aftermarket?

If not, would it be possible to retrofit some bulbs/bayonet/harness to the existing rear light assembly without absolutely busting the housing?

Thanks mate,
Just figured out that I didn't have that 'navigation bar' in the top section of the page because I hadn't logged in *palms forehead*

I didn't realise you had to log in on the side menu as well as the navigation bar....curious. could I have possibly discovered an error in the code?
Or does everyone have to log in on both?

Hi all,

Would someone be able to tell me how to change/upload a profile picture? (not Members Ride picture) As I don't seem to have the option to do so.

Cheers

JB
