I have an ST. Would it be better for me to do just a 4agze swap or put the 4a heads on my car. Which would give more power? |

I love half-life as well. It started it all. Halo...Killzone you name it. But there ARE so games in the current generation such as GOD of WAR and Ninja Gaiden that have that old school addiction to them as well. The current crop of 360 games are just pretty blondes if you ask me. Games just to get sales. All new systems start off with those until the developers get to grips with the system. The PC never has that problem. They continually get quality games. |

First of all I never said I owned a 360. And the reason is I simply wont have time to play video games until summer at which I will purchase a 360 along with a ps3 if it isn't $hit. Kojima said it his self that MSG4, the only game that is worth anything so far on ps3, is more than capable on a 360. He didn't put it on there b/c other teams from Konami had already developed for the 360 and he always wants to be the first on a new console. Personally I think that is bull $hit as he would have done it anyway as most developers ride SONY's dick. Have you seen TOO HUMAN? That game is bad azz. You nor anyone else can deny that. That is on par if not better LOOKING than MSG4. Gears of War and MASS EFFECT are other killa apps. Controller wise I have not read a game mag that states that the 360 is anything short of perfect. I love that controller. I stay facts not fiction. The 360 is selling and is on its way to 4.5 to 5.5 milli by June sometime. How many units has the Wii or PS3 sold? Not a damn one. Will the PS3 sell alot? ****ing duh? Will M$ be able to stop PS3 from selling? Hell naw! But it can TRY to slow it down. Personally, and I hate to say it, but PS3 might eclispe the 360 sales wise but not until a year. But that's only if the PS3 can deliver visuals that they showed of Killzone 2 or Moto storm. It wont this year or the next. But BACK ON SUBJECT... I think the Wii is going to be a good product and I hope people aren't too narrow minded to just by pass this and get a PS3 because SONY told them it was kool and could produce visuals that look better than a STAR WARS movie. |

QUOTE(bloodrain @ Apr 28, 2006 - 9:47 AM) the 360 will get ass raped by the PS3. Playstation has much better support for there games, a much larger line up, and better makers for there games. If PS3 ONLY HAD Gran Turismo 5 it would still sell more than the 360. Fanboys, fanboys!!!! When will fanboys grow up? You and the rest of the video game community don' t know $hit about PS3 except the bull$hit that SONY feeds you.(Just like babies) The few realtime graphics that SONY has shown falls way short of the Kill Zone trailer that had everybody ***ting over themseleves. SONY is notorious for lying to the public. Look at PS2. "It will offer toy-story like graphics!" Bull $hit!!! That crappy a$$ controller is definetly not revolutionary and the Wii is. The 360's controller is VERY solid all th way around. And as far as 360's breakin' and what not, every new console has had heating problems and other small glitches. That's why they are constantly redesigned throughout the life of the console so that they may work more efficiently. The Wii looks to be a cool concept that can have ipod like sales or go the way of the 3DO. But guess what? The PS3 can fall flat as well. |

Welcome to 6gc!!!! I have the same type of celica which is a ST. The GT models are a bit faster but overall 6g celicas are considered slow. There are several engine swaps that can be done and are discussed in great detail in the information section on this site. Most of ALL of your questions can be found on this site as it is the DEFINITIVE site for 6g celicas!!! |

I hate to say it but dude is right. I just moved to Houston and there are tons of civics and supped up eclispes. I drive a ST and feel so inferior to those guys. But you know what? I don't care cause I love my car and spirit. I love the way it looks, drive, and etc. Sure I could save up and get a Supra(which I will do) but to have a 6g celica with a 3sgte is almost priceless to me. Why? Because its UNEXPECTED to the average tuner. |

I'm new to the Houston area and have seen quite a few 6g celicas around town. I was just wondering where 6gc members hung out at (if you do) and what were good mechanic shops around town as there are so many. I look forward to meeting you guys. ![]() |

What's up everybody. I have a "clutch problem" in my Celica. I left the lights on in my car so I used a jump pack to get my car going. The car started making unfamilar noises. I get ready to drive the car but it shuts off when I put my foot on the clutch. I jumped the car off again. My co-worker said that was my clutch fan so I was like "Oh" and just figured that my car needed to be driven so the battery could recharge. But every time I press on the clutch it would squill, show the battery light, and the car act liked it wanted to cut off. It did this for about an hour and stopped. I took it to Advanced Auto and they said the alternator was good and that the battery was just low. But a day later my car started the same thing again. If I press all the way down on the clutch it would act like it wanted to cut off so I pressed down on it half way. But then that started not to work and the car turned off in the middle of the highway. So I'm like "Oh $hit!". I press on the clutch and get ready to turn the key, but there is no need as the car started right up by pressing the..... clutch!?! Can anyone out there tell me whats wrong with my baby? ![]() |

Congrats I on running 16's!!! Whether its 16 flat or otherwise. I'm an ST owner but I'm really getting tired of reading about an ST owner trying to prove to a GT owner what there Celica can do. I think half of the GT dudes don't even care. I also know that the mods are tired of locking threads because of this bickering. DAMN Toyota.... why did you have to make that badge? ![]() |

QUOTE(Batman722 @ Mar 26, 2006 - 5:56 PM) OK this is getting dumb guys.... I have a 95 ST and a 95 GT. all of the "little things" the ST doesn't have that the GT does can be added to the ST easily. The ST was made to be an economical vehicle - less hp, less standard options, getter mileage. The GT is the "sports" model with most of the standard options and hp. My ST and my GT have all of the options available for 1995 BTW. if you are upset that your ST is slow or doesn't have options or whatever, either buy a GT or upgrade your ST. It is as simple as that. for the record, I like driving my ST (w/header) better than my GT (stock)...why ? here we go... the responce from my ST is better than the GT, my ST cloth seats are more comfy than my GT leather, my ST is quieter than my GT. I know my RPM band better in my ST, I know exactly what it can do and what I can do with it. The GT seems to me to rev too high... when it is all said and done, just relax and drive your car. edit: both have all options available except A/T ![]() Okay. If all incoming readers read the WHOLE thread then you would know that things WERE going out of hand but I threw in a corny joke to try to diffuse the whole thing. I love the CELICA period. The whole point of the thread was that ST owners were tired of hearing how slow their cars were. Thats it. Now can we all just get along? |

Okay. This $hit is not that serious. Maybe Lagos was right. Now it seems that we have ST owners bashing ST owners!!! I think in terms of performance then it doen't matter if you have a GT or ST. Not TOO much. Luxury wise the GT is better but only if you don't have an ST with the extras. Dustin thank you very much for your GT4 comment. I never thought of it that way. Anyhow, lets just be happy we own a 6g because most people don't have the LUXURY to even buy an ST. Get it, luxury. ![]() |
List the glaring differences between the two, because I fail to really see any. I've sat in both as well, and, it's a clone of my ST with alloy wheels and rear disc brakes. I have power everything, leather interior, and all the extra crap on mine, it makes little difference which model you own.
he was saying the "small dealer options" mean nothing im saying that most st's dont come with all of that stuff. and im sorry, i just cannot take a car seriously if it has rear drums, its kind of like a girl with one boob wanting to be a porn star. --------------------------------------------------- Wow!!! lol. Now that's one hell of an anology. lol. So Brain, how could I get that GT experince in my ST? I've never driven a GT so I don't know. |

QUOTE(brianforster @ Mar 26, 2006 - 4:38 PM) on the contrary, id be willing to say that the power is the least important option of the st vs gt choice. the gt is just a nicer car overall, each of those "little dealer options" goes a long way when combined to create a more comfortable car. sitting in an st and sitting in a gt might still be sitting in two celicas, but its definitly not the same to me, and ive sat in both. Hey I was just curious as to how the gt makes for a more comfortable ride. I'm going to change my seats out and redo my whole interior so I can have a luxury sports car. |

QUOTE(qmoney10457 @ Mar 26, 2006 - 3:54 PM) I have a 1994st and I wanna do a "Beams" redtop engine swap, but I also wanna do a 4age silver or blacktop swap. Im really not sure, but I wanna know wut tranny will be need for these motors. Secondly, I wanna know witch engine would be better to turbocharge? Thanx 6gc.net members!!!! Quincy V. P.S.=Please ONLY somebody who really knows his stuff, ansewr this please!!!! What's up. I got a ST as well and I know that if you do a 4age swap you can keep your stock tranny. So, if you want to get more power and not spend 5 gs on a 3sgte this would be the idea swap. You can PM Doctor Tweak for more info. I asked him the same question away back and if you want I can forward his response to you. Good Luck!!! ![]() |
