What's the easiest way to test it to make sure it's that before I blow a lot of money on it?

My fuel gauge has been not working lately. When I fill up the gauge only goes to about 7/8th full and will sit there for about 150 miles then drop fast. The fuel light came on today with the gauge at 1/4 and at 310 miles. Is it the gauge or the sending unit? And how do you check?

Sounds like either the cv axle or wheel bearing on the left side is bad.

It should be flowing a lot through the heater core. Check if there are any kinked lines if there are not any my next step would be looking into the blend door I know you think its working but it might not be. And also check if the ac is on while doing this.

It's the second best tool I've seen to bleed a cooking system. I use mine all the time it hold enough and raises the coolant high enough on every car I've worked on. The best I've seen was a vacuum bleeder. It used shop air to suck out the air in the system then sucked in the coolant making sure there was no air.

To fix that leak in the distributor you would have to tear it down more and replace an inner seal the outer only seals against outer leaks. It could be causing the miss fire though. Try getting a junk yard distributor and testing it.

Try using a spill free funnel or something similar to bleed the cooling system. You need to get the top point of coolant above the highest point in the cooling system. Jacking it up helps but I don't think it was enough.

I replaced the coolant temp sensor as it was cheap. And I readjusted the tps sensor and it still do was the same thing. If I plug in my iac it closes the iac and almost stalls out, and unplugged it idles a little up and down.

The inner joint comes apart and the boot get slipped over the shaft for the outer it's not removable. But I've seen universal boots that are 2 halfs and snap together over the shaft they are really bad though and leak grease. Your better off getting a lifetime warranty cv shaft and replacing the whole thing.

The ignition coil is on the distributor side it the back plug on the distributor. As for plugs I know they're Ngk platinums but I'm not sure more than that autozone can tell you. I personally say get the wires at toyota every toyota I've had I first got wires from parts store and they are terrible and ark through the wire causing a miss fire.

Try running some seafoam through the vacuum booster line to clean the intake of carbon the rough idle is probably build up in the egr. Also change the plugs and wires with oem recommended plugs and factory wires. And change the distributor cap and rotor. And on these cars the ignition coil is part of the distributor.

Check the map sensor vacuum hose. I have had to Celicas and they each have shown different symptoms when the map was bad or the vacuum hose fell off or was leaking. But both cars had a problem with accelerating after 3 to 4 thousand rpm.
