Celica and MR2 will not be produced by Toyota anymore. I heard that Toyota will produce a new model of Supra in order to have a sport car in the production range.
As they say, celica belongs to the past.. But I believe that we will see it again in some years from now.

I am sorry to say that Civic will be faster than a celica with 200bhp.
This kind of race is very popular here. But, with both cars modificated, the hondas have no chance against celica.

Ok, i think i have got a nice offer for the european members of 6gc.
I am selling my engine and ALL the related parts in order to have a full swap in your celi as it is right now. It is fully working, with no problem at all, about 80000kms and anyone who is SERIOUSLY interested can visit me if he likes and check the engine as it is on my car now. I have done some modifications as listed and more that my mechanic did not add to the list (He made that list as i didnt know the parts types etc):

In case you are interested i can inform you that by getting this "package" you can expect much more than 450hp from the dyno, depending to the use that you want your car to have.
The estimated price for the aftermarket parts that we install to the gt-4 engine is about 25000 euros and i think that the 15000 euros that i ask for the engine with all this stuff is an extremely low price. I am selling it because we will try to fit another type of engine and i am saying again that there is absolutely NO PROBLEM with this one or with any of the aftermarket parts. You can easily check this by doing whatever inspection you want to my car.
I can take care of the transportation (I can suggest some TIR companies that travel over Europe for good prices, but if someone is really interested he should come to Greece. Just come, see, check, pay in cash, make sure that every part is loaded in the truck and return home.
I can also give you an proforma invoice for "spare parts" if needed in order to have the custom clearance.
I think that the removing of the engine and parts won't last more than 2 days, and i can host you in my home untill everything will be settled.

I think that the rear is best, as toyota made it because it looks sexyer..Many people are painting their car different than others but only a few makes them more beautiful. If i will paint my celi like a zebra, it will be unique but not beautiful..

Yeap! At least in Greece, you can get one! If you have not certificates of the manifacturer that your body kit is approved for road use, you will have to remove them. Thats why i use only toyota body kit, so i have no problem with the inspection!

I dont know if streetracing is a waste of time, but personally i enjoy it wherever it takes place, in the road or in the dragster races... I hate honda too, and i would not ever buy one because i am a fan of supercharged awd cars. So, as long 12 years that i drive, i had a Lancia Integrale, Nissan GTI-R, and now my beloved Celica for me, and a Mitsubishi Evo6 for me and my family. Never had and never will get a Honda..
But i know that it is a fact that Hondas VTI or TYPE-R, are really fast cars if you consider that they dont have turbos. I dont see any difference in aftermarket parts than the rest Japanese makes. As there is Mugen for them, there is trd for us, nismo for nissan etc. If you have enough money you can have whatever you like, right? Also, they cannot have as much horsepower as we can by upgrading our turbos.. At the moment, the best Type-r that i ever heard, has only 330hp and the cost for the owner was about 30000$ as they must pay a fortune to mugen or hondata for the special parts. So, if you have a gt-four, plus 30000$ for swaps, you propably will get double the hpower of that honda, right?
So my opinion is that IF YOU ARE INTERESTED in races, and you hate Honda you must have a turbo celica..An St will be humiliated, a GT will have no chance, but a descent gt-four will bring tears to their eyes..
If you are not interested, you can just ignore them and enjoy your car with your own way.

If it is a vti, and your celi has not any special modifications, you propably have no chance!
It is the v-tec that makes these honda real fast, even if you have 10-15 more horsepower than them!

I am afraid that you will have more troubles than the exterior problems of this engine.. It seem that it had very tough times when it was united with the rear cut..

I agree 100% with you my friend. In the past i have made a lot of stupid things to get the maximum db, and it cost me a fortune to get the interior of my celi in a decent condition.. Maybe somebody would like these kind of mods, but i think that it was the most horrible thing that i did to my car!!
Take a look and tell me your thoughts about these modifications.. Would you like to have an interior like this?

I had face problems with the ac, but it happened due to wrong istallation.
All the other problems had been easily taken care because i had a whole front cut of a gt-four so i had everything nessesary. I believe that if you have a front cut, and not just an engine you will not face anything!

I had done this thing and i regret it very soon..
Except from the vibrations, in a month my hatch cover was destroyed.. The bent that caused by speakers weight, was horrible and i had to buy from toyota a new cover, for about 350$... The two tubes that the cover has for reinforcement are not enough to keep the weight, and this thing also affected the (i dont know how do you call them) two suspensions(??) that keep the hatch door open.. The heavy wing plus the weight of the cover with the woofers made these things so weak, that i have to hold the door with my hand in order not to fall in my head when i am looking into the hatch.. You can remove the two cords that connect the cover with the hatch door, but even in that way you have still to face the problem of cover bent..
I would not suggest it..

Why dont they add a turbo on that tube to give more pressure and maybe a NOS bottle to collect the water that the tube will have after driving to rain?
As a previus guy said, it is just an "interfooler"..

Tell them to remove the "Racing" from their company name..
If they say that the swap is impossible, i would not go to their place for any reason..
Maybe they are talking about the celica from playstation..

This was the first thing that i did to my car, and i can tell you for sure that it is the easyest way to get +5 to 10 hp without any money.. You will only need to make a tube to replace it or you can make a fake catalytic converter for the case that the police look under your car. That worked for me!!
The only problem is with the inspection of gas, but you can always put the cat back in order to pass the test, and remove it again. If you are unlucky enough and when they stop you, the have a portable gas meter, then you have a big problem... So the best you can do is make a fake converter and claim that it propably dont work.. Maybe you will leave without a penalty!!

I agree, but i dont think so that 2x3'' pipes are too much for a swapped gt-four. In the photo, the left pipe is fake but i have diferrent plans about it.. Both pipes will be working of course and they have to take care of a decent horsepower, so i dont think that anyone will say that it is wrong...
OEM knows better how many pipes should a celica have but a lot of celicas have 50+ % horsepower than the oem engine, so you have to think about a totally different exaust system to take care of the extra power that the engine produces.. In my case, except from the extra hp that i ve got, I have also removed the catalytic converter so the pressure from the exaust gas is too high for a simple muffler. So, in order to avoid the uptake, to minimize the flames and of course to keep the db low, i have to split the rear tube to a twin muffler, or better to different mufflers. I am sure that when my project will be finished you will love the hand made rear exhaust system and mabe you will change your mind about the two different mufflers. I believe that at least in my case, i will have a gain of +15 hp with this system. Lets hope that the dyno will agree with that!!

That rear seem very cool, but i agree that you need to install sideskirts, even the oem for gt-four!

With these results and the expected after taking care of the bov, it is going to be very difficult for you to find a nice opponent to check your celi on the road..

Cuprys has a lot of modified jdm cars, and i have speak to a lot of guys that i met in Greek dragster races.
I know a great yellow skyline in cyprus and i would like to see one of your Gt-fours in a race oneday here in Greece!! I ve read articles about some of your cars and they seem to be extremely fast!!!
Unfortunately we have not here any supras or skyline, but you can find some great celicas on the road, and most of the drivers love streetracing or dragging. As you might know, the best awd car here is Jim Barbaris st205 and it is very difficult to find a good opponent for his everyday use celi of propably 600hp++ powered engine..
Last week i saw him in "nightraces" with a red toyota starlet. I dont know what kind of modifications he had done to that thing but it was a real "giant killer" monster..
