Ugh, mine's an ST auto too and I paid $2800 for it with a dent, a leaking engine, and junk tires/dented rims. $2500 is a fair number, I wish I'd been able to haggle mine down to that price when I bought it. Good luck with it, someone is bound to come along and pick it up with that price.

It is worth $2800 according to KBB plus the additional bump from CarFax based on the clean record, one owner and low miles. Engine is in good shape, no dents brand new tires, rims have some curb rash but could be refinished. They are the premium rims so they could be made to look brand new.

I'd love to sell it to an enthusiast who would take care of her hence the lowered price.

There isn't a dent there the paint is just scuffed from some inconsiderate person opening the door into it. I can post more photos if someone is interested.

I meant behind the armrest on the driver's side interior panel. Either way I'll shut up now, good luck with sale

I have two black interior door panels that have no dents. I haven't had a chance to get them put on but they will be sold with the car.

This is as clean as it gets.

Your standard of "clean as it gets" is a dented driver side door panel?

New price $2500 or best offer.

It is a local yard. We have traded a few e-mails and photos about interior door panels and the trunk liner. They are quoting $35 for each panel and $50 for the trunk liner.

I am going to head up there next week and see what it looks like. I figure anyone who put that much into the exterior of the car would probably take good care of the interior also.

I haven't done the whole junkyard thing before so it will be an experience.

Thanks!

I found a 95GT in a junk yard the front is smashed but it has some nice side skirts on it and I was thinking about buying them. Does anybody have any experience doing this? Any idea as to what a good price would be? I haven't gotten a price quote yet.

The car has a lot of good parts so if anyone is looking for anything I'll try and see if it is there.

I know the airbags have never been replaced since I have had the car since 95.

I am starting work on restoring my car. So I am what I need to do/replace etc and was wondering how important that was.

I'll look into inspecting the SRS sensors.

Thanks!

I haven't ever had my air bags serviced in my 95 Celica. I was supposed to have them done at 10 years but didn't.

Has anyone had theirs serviced and what is involved in doing that? Any other thoughts?

Thanks

I have seen a few requests for people in Atlanta but I couldn't find any that seemed to end in a clear meet up.

I just bought a new daily driver so I want to start looking at restoring my Renaissance red 95 st hatchback. She is in pretty good shape for her age and the fact that I have been driving her every day since 95.

I'd like to meet up with some other Celica owners in the Atlanta are who might be able to give me some advice on starting to restore her. I'd also like to see what you have done with your cars.

Thanks,
Jamie

I bought a new cruise control and then someone else was able to fix the one that was already in my car.

This is a complete kit to install a new cruise control on a 1.8 L engine. It is brand new in the box. I had a shop look at it and they said it would easily go in my 95 st.

I paid $219 for it before shipping. Make me an offer.

The cruise was installed by the dealer in 95. They royally screwed it up when it was installed and we had to have another dealer straighten out the mess. But it worked from 95 until about the last year or so.

I did some googling and found these cruise controls.

I am thinking about ordering one of these but I haven't decided yet.

what is wrong with your cruise ? does the light blink when you turn it on ?

It never did anything visible when I turned it on. Now when I push the button on the end to set the speed and then release the button while taking my foot off the gas to start cruising it doesn't hold the speed. It just slows down since I have taken my foot off of the gas.

One dealer here looked at it and said it was an aftermarket and they didn't think they could repair it.

My Celica and I are moving from Florida to Indiana in August. Neither of us have lived anywhere it snows. I have had her since she rolled off the lot in 95.

Any insite on anything I should do to prep her for the snow? I am told it doesn't snow enough to need snow tires and they plow the roads really good.

Unfortunately I don't have a garage for her up there so she will be out in the snow.

Thanks for your input.

I need a new cruise control for my 95 Celica ST. I went to the dealer today and they said they didn't have anything and suggested I go to Best Buy of all places to look.

Does anyone know of a good aftermarket cruise control?

Thanks

I know this is probably an odd one. I had a detailer some how suck the bass/treble button out of my stock radio using a vacuum. They never found it even after digging through the vacuum. I bought a new one from the dealer but it never matched the other one and today I had the car cleaned today and once again the button is gone.

Does anyone have a stock radio that they would be willing to sell me the bass/treble or balance button out of? The Toyota replacement doesn't quite fit the same way as the original.

Thanks,
Jamie
