I have an sx celica 87 with a 3sge in it. not sure if im in the right forum as i dont have a gen 6.(too poor)

Its got some issues.

In the morning it starts and then turns strait off. This happens a few times until its warmed up a bit. then it idles at around 300-400rpm for about 20secs before going up to 1200rpm and then settling down to about 800rpm. This is a bastard if i need to get away in a hurry and its wearing out my starter/battery like a bitch. Could this be because my O2 sensor is snapped off? (excuse my ignorance)
Other than fixing my starting problem i have trouble in the rain at night when i have window heater fan lights wipers etc on. Idles irratically up and down until it shuts down. is this alternator on its way out? or the o2 sensor again.
Appart from that she seems ok, a bit of smoke under high load but not much.

After fixing these hopefully minor problems i want a bit more power. not much but 10kw would be nice. and cheap, any ideas. not interested in engine swap or turbo just yet. (it is front wheel drive.)
