I did the same exact thing, they interchange with no problem. Just search on here for tips on how to take the seats apart.

Thanks for the replies guys. My terminals should be good, I just cleaned them and put the anti-corrosion stuff on them. I know it has got to be something simple somewhere. Hopefully I can make it home tomorrow from school to my garage at home and give it another good look-over.

car messed up again today. on my way to sub way the radio would go off then come back on a few seconds later. this may or may not be related to the engine problems, but it has never done that before. car otherwise runs fine to subway and when i tried starting the car after leaving subway it would not start. completely dead, radio, clock, gauges, everything dead like no battery was in the car. then all this stuff would come back on but when i turned the key to start it would just click, like the starter was going bad. sometimes my gauges and everything else would go blank again and then begin working again. I unhooked the "-" terminal for a few seconds to let the ecu reset and when I hooked it back up car started and ran perfect. Does this point to the ecu? Do they go "bad"?

To be honest, i haven't given the wiring harness a thorough look over but I did look at it and seen nothing obvious. I dont think it would be the alternator since the battery seems to be charged fine and when it is allowed to it starts the car fine and does so quickly. I also ruled out the clutch start safety switch. I tried to start the car with it out and with it in and there was two different reactions from the car, so that is working properly.

Try moving your rca's away from your fuel pump, which is in the middle of the car, under the backseat.

On my way home I rolled up to a stop sign and when I could I started to pull out. As I let the clutch out, the car acted like I killed it, but when I went to start it back up it acted almost like the battery had been disconnected. Nothing would come on like it had no battery. Power finally returned and my clock and radio had both reset. When everything finally decided to come back on it started right up and ran perfect the rest of the way home. I did a quick look over on the side of the road and my terminals where attached good and fuses where fine. Any ideas on what happened or where to start looking tomorrow?

How much this the conversion cost?

hey man it the cost varies alot depending on where you get the parts and what all you get...there is a sticky about it that breaks it all down and gives you part numbers.

they look very similar to gtfour seats? The seats in the local 204s here are noticibly different.
also is all of your centre console arm rests that high? is that normal for usdm?

ohhh...and nice car man, appart from the dent she looks schmic.

not all us celicas have a armrest like that...not sure but maybe just some automatics?

i havent seen one in person yet so i cant judge the styling BUT before i went through the trouble of putting a 3s in there i would check out performance mods for the exsiting engines since the v6 already has pretty respectable output numbers

question 1: yes
question 2: They coming from the plugs u need to install a aftermarket radio. They may still be in the amp if u are still stock radio wise. but either way these are the ones u need.
man this is how you learn things by doing them, dont apologize lol

Hey i jsut had some work done on my car by toyota (boo me, me and dad didnt feel like tackling it)
It had a large oil leak and they said it was at the oil pump. They also checked the timing belt to make sure it hadnt got oil on it. Drove my car home and everything is fine. Later that night i am driving and it had a strange whirring noise. Its coming from the timing belt side of the engine, and it increases when my rpms do. The engine runs great like before and drives like it always did. Just with a noticeable noise. we loosed the serpentine belts some and that didnt help... I was thinking maybe the power steering belt, i have checked it yet. I just hope its nothing to do with the timing belt that was a big job (for me and dad at least) so what could it be? what could i check?
