had to keep the tradition of the 2 door white coupe. except this time its got over 300 bhp, proximity key, touch screen navi/radio, powered seats, a ton of airbags, parking sensors, and everything else.

Still got love for my Celi but the GC is a whole different beast.

Hi guys, was digging through my boxes of old stuff and ran across this pair of super rare super vintage decals(Joking). jk, but I bought them on this site about 6 years ago. They are white in color. I dont know too much about it other then I got it from a user here. The envelope says J. Law and his address is from Torrance, CA.

but yeah they are pretty cool, basically this one I think.

the actual decals:

Brand new and ready for use. I think they were like 7 or 8 bucks for the pair when I bought it, I really dont remember. anyways, I am only asking $6 for both of them. Paypal as gift.

who wants it? lol

Hey guys, I lost my alarm remote a while back and ordered a new one on eBay that supposed to work with it. It says I need to press some button on the ECU to program the remote. Any help as to where I can find the ECU?? I have a 99 GT. any help would be highly appreciated thank you.

I had a goodyear shred on me going over an interchange a few months back. Same deal it was on the rear passenger.

Before you go wasting money on a wheel, take the one that is potentially damaged to the shop that balances your tires and have them check it. In some cases they can even be straightened. I would imagine plenty of shops like discount tire would even check it for free if you ask.
The rim being bent could definately cause the tire to blow out, but the tire blowing out wouldnt cause the rim to bend unless you drove over a speedbump at 75mph on the bare rim. It usually takes running into something like a curb pretty hard to bend a wheel.

I just imagined driving over a speed bump at 75 mph on bare rim and legit LOLed at work haha.

I didnt know it took that much to bend a rim. I've seen so many bent rims on craigslist. What the hell are people doing to manage this?

As soon as my tire blew out I pulled over right away. I probably drove 1-200 feet before stopping. I dont think it was ever completely bare rim though. Good to know, I will definitely take it to a discount tire co since I bought the tires there originally.

I've never had a good experience with Kumhos. I recently had a set of Ecsta 4X's that lasted nearly as long as they should have, but one had an issue with the belts separating. That was my best experience with them, the others were all junk. You are definitely better off to replace all four if you have the spare cash. You can get away with buying a single matching rim if yours is bent or ruined. It's very fortunate that you were able to keep control of your car and nobody got hurt. thumbsup.gif

I always thought kumhos were a good brand. Of course 1 bad experience for me is not enough to shun an entire company but I might as well try a different brand this next time around.

I'm gonna keep an eye on craiglist and ebay for now to see if I can find 2 similar lookin rims then I can at least have the rears match. I also saw some pretty nice full sets of rims for around $250 at the local shops, but I'd rather not have to get new rims at this point. I'm pretty certain its bent tho since I drove a few hundred feet with no tire but I'l take it to a shop and see tomorrow. Got my nifty spare donut on.

I was going like 75ish on the freeway when my passenger rear tire decided to stop cooperating. I got lucky it was the rear and not the front. I was able to pull to the shoulder very easily. To make things worse, I couldnt put the spare on because the wrench wouldnt go deep enough to take the lug nuts on for some reason. Im thinkin the rim got bent and warped which didnt allow me to secure the wrench onto the lug nuts but not sure yet. what a downer!! AAA emergency roadside assistance rules though, had a tow truck within 20 minutes of calling them.

the rest of the tires should have close to 10k miles left in them. I got them on(kumhos) about 4 years ago and put a little over 30k on since. I thought it was supposed to get 40k miles but i'll check my papers again. If the rim is not bent, would I just need to replace the 2 rear tires? If the rim IS bent I'll probably have to get 4 new rims along with 4 new tires, for the safest route right?

I would clean the throttle body first, check vac lines, inspect IAC and TPS

is this hard to do?? I've never really worked on cars before, this would be my first time.

Hi folks. I have a 1999 hatchback GT thats starting to show some symptons of engine problems.

It has 108,000 miles, and just had a major tune up at around 106,000.

The problem is, maybe like 2-3 times a week, as soon as I turn the ignition, the car will fire right up, and almost immediately the RPM will drop to 0 and the engine will die. Sometimes it doesnt die right away, but the engine will struggle and the RPM will continue to drop to 0 and the engine will die anyways. This will happen over and over again unless I press down on the gas a little to keep the RPM up. After holding down the gas for maybe 20 seconds, I can let go and the car will idle fine and its all good from there.

Also, alot of times, the idle will be very very low. like around 400-500 rpm. I can feel the engine vibrating the entire car. After driving around for a little the idle will return back to around 1000 and everything will be fine. But sometimes if I press the gas too much too soon, the RPM will once again reach 0 and the engine will die.

any ideas what kinda problems I could be having? I would be very thankful for any kind of insight.

Hey guys, got for sale a HKS Super Power Flow Induction kit (air filter)

This is in good shape. the same exact one as here http://www.6gc.net/parts/230
It has all good reviews. the tubing is for a st-202/205, but it will fit on the US models if you tighten with the clamp. I had it on my car for about 2 years and it sounded awesome.

asking $50 shipped for the air filter

Hey guys, I dont have pics of them but they are the oem GT rims. like these

will have pics up on saturday, just wanted to see if anyone was actually interested

they all have curb rash, some a lot, some little, but none of the rims have major damage or are bent. The tires on them are also no good. I am only asking $140 for all 4 of them. Not missing center caps.

If you are interested, please shoot me a PM. I am located at either Hayward, CA or Stockton, CA. if you are a little farther I can meet half way.
