Does anyone know if the radiator hoses for a gt4 are the same as the beams? Reason for asking is i found a decent looking set of aftermarket hoses for gt4 and would buy them to go in when i swap if i know they fit they look to be the right shape but its hard to say for certain without actually having them

As far as the bodies they the same up front so that turns into your basic bodywork collision repair as for the swap i haven't done that but it should be pretty simple since your going to have all of the necessary parts to complete it

Try pulling the axle shaft from that side and check both joints for binding im not sure if this would cause a steering vibration but it would defenitley give the wheel a hardspot while trying to turn it

QUOTE (HardHead93 @ Dec 3, 2016 - 4:03 PM) *
I just went out for a little bit of spirited driving and OH MAN! This engine is crazy! biggrin.gif I am only running 7-8 psi (stock wastegate pressure) and the car keeps breaking loose the front tires, especially in turns. I think part of it is the MR2 LSD I have in the S54 tranny because soon as the boost hits 5-7 psi I feel the tires give a little bit. This engine is awesome! I am afraid to turn the boost up to 15 psi where I want it to be. I guess it is time to save for some better tires.

what model MR2 did you find the lsd out of?

there is a part number, im too lazy to search. it will be expensive.

get a cordless angle grinder, use a cutting wheel head to the yard and cut the piece you need. Weld.

I cant believe i didnt think of that but of course it is a great idea! (Must be because none of the junkyards anywhere remotely close to my house have celicas in them

QUOTE (cellocinema @ Oct 30, 2017 - 11:41 AM) *
does anyone know the part number of rear fender(driver side, the one with gas lid)?
i'm looking for a new part, but have no clue what part number it is. i googled it but found only one for 7th gen like below.

so i did some digging i came up with a part number for the liftback built after january of 96 the number is 61602-2d918 but it is obsolete which i completely expected now thats not too say that maybe some dealer somewhere has it in stock but id say you want to look in the aftermarket somewheres also the list price on it was 1770 dollars canadian so i hope you have deep pockets

QUOTE (Bushmatic @ Oct 31, 2017 - 2:10 AM) *
I could be wrong but I don't think that comes as a separate piece. Looking at my car, that piece continues over the door to the roof, like it is permanently a part of the car. Also I've seen someone get hit in this area, and he had to get a bunch of expensive bodywork done instead of just swapping out a fender.

you are correct that it all comes as one, what needs to be done to replace a rear quarter of this style is the old section needs to be cut out and the new one welded in so that would be why it was so expensive for the other guy. also i wouldnt imagine you can buy this from toyota it is normally something that is from the aftermarket i have a buddy that works in parts at the local toyota i will phone him and ask if he has the part in the system
