try a few lil things like cold air kits a good k&n filter use synthetic oils lean that old crust out of the throttle body n get a good fuel system cleaning if you got an automatic car try manual shifting it things like that will help make it spunkier but for some good ole fashioned hard core hp you gonna have to make some mods

if it were a vac leak you would have a noticeable idle quality issue and normaly youll have the service engine soon lamp on due to a lean condition sensed by the 02 sensor as far as the shifting goes if your trying to shift at tooooo low an rpm the syncronzers will actually have to speed up the next gear instead of slowing it enough for engagement not too sure of the issue your haveing but maybe it wil help some

hehe nice well i gues ima try to rebuild this tranny. its only 200bucks to get a tranny kit its kinda unbelievable. well this place in dallas quoted me.

If your good with tranny work go for it. I find that trannys are 10X harder than engines.

thats a basic kit though bearings and rings but rest assured hes got other issues then just rings after a long while of use the sliders and hubs get worn and those aint cheap

few years of experiance at mantrans of fla if your wondering

so if my 1,2,3,4 works and not my 5th then its my syncro right? cuz if i put in 5th nothing.

no that would be the 5th gear set if you go in 5th then nothing happens but a flare ( i worked for mantrans in tallahassee fla ) i sold alot of 5th sets not many for toy mostly nissan and jeep ax 5 and ax 15
