In my case, cleaning it wasn't enough. I had to adjust it. You can check if the valve opens and shuts properly if you connect it to a 12v source (car battery). Check out the BGB on how to test it. |

I've fixed the problem on my car, it was the IAC valve. I didn't have to replace it, I just ajusted it so it would close properly. To do this I removed the two screws on the back of the IAC valve and moved the position of the metal plate. Now the car idles perfectly. The Rpm on coldstarts has also gone down from 2000rpm to 1300rpm. P.S I have the 3SGE engine, so I don't know if it's the the same on your car. |

I'm having the same problem as you. Idle rpm jumps between 750-1000. I have checked all the vacum lines, cap n rotor, I've also flushed the radiator to make sure there's no air trapped in the system. I think the problem is the IAC valve. Going to give it a good wash with some carburator cleaner and see if that helps. |
