QUOTE (slavie @ Apr 14, 2022 - 7:03 PM) *
I mean, the looks are fitting of current gen hot hatches, sure. But, why is this thing so heavy? 3,249lbs? A mildly tuned GT-Four would weight less and make more power, with tons more power potential. I just don't see any tuning room in the 3 cylinders of fury of the Corolla - let's hope I'm wrong.

But, I have to give them credit for the stick shift. Solid move, Toyota.

Would I want one? Not sure. Good question.

I'd still rather have the ST205, honestly. BPU and you have a reliable & quick+ car - at least in the ST204 with a 3rd generation 3SGTE.

But this is wildly cool. I did talk to my sales guy about the Circuit version but pulled out because I didn't want to deal with first year bugs (if any).

I have 2 extra GT4 foglights with the bumper bar. Foglights itself are in good condition, no cracks.

150+ shipping per bumper bar with the foglights

I bought these as extras just in case but never got around to getting a 205

Neat idea. I don't know the slightest thing about cutting and molding bumpers so this'll be interesting.

I honestly wouldn't pay more than $300 for the st205 bumper. $1000 for a bumper that is damaged and needing respray is just outrageous, #### that. C-One or Varis would be my picks.

I'd like to think I'm one of the lucky guys that got a 3rd gen WRC motor with 3" downpipe, aftermarket manifold, Southbend clutch, aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, and oem harness for 1k. The swap was in a 91 Celica GTS. I wouldn't waste money on the harness at all. Cut through the middle of the firewall and put a grommet in place and drag it out. I spent 1200 on a good running car, 1000 on WRC engine, and another 2000 for 3" exhaust, FMIC, wheels, fuel pump, etc. Took me and my BIL a weekend and was driving on Monday. When I had my aftermarket ecu, I ran 21lbs of boost all summer and it was a damn blast, but I was semi-stripped. You'll love it. I plan on getting a ST205 this summer so I'll be back in.

If it's by VIS and anything like the hood, I wouldn't install the spoiler. I asked this on FB with no replies.

You'll be pleased with the 3sgte. Loved mines when I had it, will probably get the real deal next spring.

Shop would be cheaper than having to buy used. 3" all the way back with custom bends, etc ran me $500.

Started to take apart some suspension nuts n bolts for rack n pinion replacement. New ic pipes measured and mocked up. Pcv and fpr replaced. New fuel lines. Replaced some old lines. I hope to finish everything this weekend.

Will be ordering new rear wheel bearings, passenger wheel bearings, and other small misc to make sure it runs reliably.

It's getting warmer here in MN lol. Couple more months before she's on the road again!

Worked on getting the manifold/turbo out. Ordered a bunch of misc from Prime Driven a while back so I replaced old parts (nut & bolts, oem Toyota oil filter, o2 sensor, etc). Got a few more interior pieces out.

Just ordered new fmic, new ic pipings, new radiator, HKS fuel cut defender, and rack and pinion.

As it keeps getting warmer throughout the week, I'll be putting in work.

4th gen swaps are pretty common now. Having a complete harness is key. My 3rd gen swap was a breeze, no extension just a couple wires to solder and drive away with the wind.

If your guys are good with what they do, find them a wiring diagram and they'll finish the job. Otherwise contact Wiregap.
