I've had my car almost a year now (well sorta - July) and my cruise control doesn't work. The button doesn;t "click" like my mom's highlander which shouldn't have anything thing to do with my mom's car but i thought they would have at least a few interchangeable parts... No cruise light comes on at all. I don't know what to do.. Where should i start? |

Since i have a problem with Bank one o2 sensor, doesn't that mean i need to but a o2 sensor that has LOC - Front? I know its a dumb question but i want to be sure. sooo... um.. They are the same? Of course imma get regular class but --> O2 Sensors SUPER CLASS Denso OE identical O2 sensor 234-2058 234-2058 FRONT $89.63 Denso OE identical O2 sensor 234-2010 234-2010 REAR $89.63 O2 Sensors REGULAR Denso Universal O2 sensor 234-2050 234-2050 FRONT $41.43 Denso Universal O2 sensor 234-2000 234-2000 REAR $26.36 So does it not matter? I'm interested too, but could someone point me in the direction to research "adjust your timing....like 15 degrees will give u a pretty good increase." and "To change the timing, is it the same way like on corolla, turn the distributor to 15 degrees? if so, which direction clockwise or counterwise? i did this on Corolla only to adjust idling RPMs, so let me know. thanks" Or will how stuff works.com have information? |

I filled up with gas from QT and my check engine light came on lol. NEVER AGAIN. I thought it was the additives adjusting cuz it went off after a while. And in my opinion, different companies do affect the car diffferently.. My brother put walmart gas in my car (i ought to kill him) and my car had a rough idle until i ran out of gas and filled upwith another company. And when i did fill up with was with shell....I noticed a power difference with acceleration and when i'm at 4000 RPM and the 2nd came kicks in. I notice the difference and i do believe discounted and cheap gas don't have a short term effect (such as filling up once and MAYBE twice). If you use it all the time, i reccommend fuel injector cleaner and etc. etc. Because it does affect your car. I use shell all the time. If not its chevron, and sometimes BP. now.. tell me this.. doesn't any one here LOVE the feel of fresh gas in your car?!? I love it! The acceleration is amazing |

I live in GA, and we have all sorts of weather. Sometimes i have to park my car outside the garage so i literally get all temperatures at cold start. I have an automatic 98 and when i drive without the needle being in the middle (normal), it usually doesn't shift pass about 3000 rpm, and doesn't go into 4th gear until about 5-10 mins down the road. I know... its weird. i often wonder if this is suppose to happen. But yea, usually i crank the car, listen for the engine to "relax a little." I don't know how to put it in words, but i listen to the car and i let the cycles go through a few times. (this is about 10seconds) then i actually put it in gear. At this time the idle is about 1300-1500. But thats only sometimes, Most of the time, i see the needle below Cold and i just wait for the needle to go a little above it and thats when i start driving. This is about 5-10 minutes and i have a normal idle. This is a DD... and when i say daily driver, i mean daily driver.. I put 11,000 on the car in 6 months. ( july- 141XXX and december -151XXX and now its 153XXX. So it responds pretty well... I bought the car in july and haven't gotten a tune up and odds and ends.. but i do get oil changes. |

QUOTE(ImportChick95 @ Dec 19, 2006 - 11:59 PM) Looks like you did a pretty good job. It usually takes me 5-6 hours to wash, wax and detail my car. I go all out when I get into my crazy cleaning mode. Hell, I even take the car floormats out and get on my hands & needs to scrub them. What can I say? I love my baby. I know exactly what you mean!! |

Thanx for the info. Also what year MR2? or is it just the mkii? I guess i'll look for a 5sp tranny from a MR2 or a celica. The LSD (what does that stand for by the way) tranny would bolt right up? |
