If you guys live near a huge mall, check to see if the Wii is setup in it. Apparently the top 25 malls in the nation are getting these kiosks that I visited yesterday.

We get the idea... smile.gif

stick your finger in a socket and then see how fast you can get up after you just got jolted

that is way different though. i don't know if you've been learned on the volts/amps concept of electricity.

yeah, but we aren't foreign country. i understand what you're saying, and it's a decent comparison. however, as citizens, we're granted certain constitutional rights. some of these foreign countries you speak of (russia, etc) don't have the same rights we supposedly do.

if this happened to you, you'd be screaming for blood. think about it.

you're at your friends house
cop walks in, demands ID's from everyone, you left yours in the car.
you decide to leave, cop tazers you four times, even after you're on the ground screaming.

it's a pretty ****ed up situation, no matter what country you're in.

Using a similar analogy, you don't go to a ballgame and forget your tickets in the car and try to fight your way in. You and I both know what the police are bringing to you if you do, an ass kicking.

This has nothing to do with foreign police. I dont care what they do in foreign countries. And you show me where he's "clearly resisting." Do you mean where he's on the ground after being tazed or him being limp?

i never said it did. i just said people like you should play around with the foreign police before you complain about what brutes ours are.

my belief is that

WOMEN can be "just friends" with a guy

BUT

the entire time the guy is waiting for an opportunity to sleep with her (unless of course he is gay)

I don't know about you guys but when a cop tells you to do something you should do it. this guy deserved what he got. you can clearly hear them telling him to stand up stand up stand up or you'll get tazed again and him saying "f you" etc.

YES! thank you! I totally agree, if you don't respond to police orders you deserve to be tased, he was acting like an idiot and fully deserved what he got.

Absolutely not. 2 men can easily carry that guy out or drag him out. You do NOT deserve to be harmed if you are not exhibiting any form of a threat or violence. He was not resisting he was not threatening. This was excessive force.

That isn't the point though. he is clearly resisting. you might want to look up the definition. is it a little excessive, maybe. is it within what i expect police to do, yes. i think every american should have to deal with the police in a foreign country before bitching and moaning about ours. if this guy was in germany he would be a bloody pulp and anyone who has had an experience with police in a foreign country will agree.

1984 Toyota Supra with porsche components under the hood and fikse wheels, 7mgte swap and lots of other stuff - uhh its pretty damn rare to find one like his.

A 23 year old car with a non-original engine, and still being put together from when it was stolen/vandalized? Yeah, sounds like a real gem. I guess I better start saving my money.

Its also known as one of the 2 nicest in the PacNW

According to.....?

I agree with this guy. Nothing against you or your obvious love for the car, insurance wouldn't be that much nor would the car. A 1984 Celica Supra isn't exactly a collectors car, nor is it ultra rare. If I chose to restore one it would be very easy to find those parts at a junkyard. I also find that ignorant of your father and I would be quite embarrased too. Who knows, maybe the guy could have whipped out the checkbook and bought your house.

If you want people to come by and ask about your car I suggest a "for sale" sign.

I think its funny that the people who appear to be of an asian ethnicity are not even throwing the slightest hissy fit.

For those who DO NOT know, it is a joke. It is a parady television show. I suppose it's ok when Chappelle does it though, right?

also, I saw the title of the thread before it was changed and I am jewish. I was not in the least way offended.

QUOTE(Coomer @ Nov 9, 2006 - 4:38 PM)

John,
My complaint isn't just with the cops in this post...it's with the whole city, which I mention in my post. You can clearly tell if you read through my post again that I'm not targeting just cops.

And one of my friends from high school was murdered earlier this year...a former friend of mine was raped...one of my brother's friends was brutally assaulted for no reason. Sure, I worry about that stuff too. But I still worry about property theft, and I don't know anyone who isn't concerned. Are you telling me that you wouldn't care at all if someone stole your car or broke into your house and robbed you?

I'm in no way saying that it's more important to target auto theft than violent crimes, but the city needs to do something to change laws and such. Yakima's priorities are so backwards...it's ridiculous.

Those priorities aren't going to change until people begin voicing their opinions. It's the founding principle of democracy.

Good for that guy but that was a risky move. Those robbers could come back and do worse things than rob his car.

Off topic, but I LOVE your avatar.

Coomer. It's not the police/officer's fault. It's legislation and law. That officer had nothing to do with the number of offenses required before imprisonment. That, and if a facility does not have enough space, and doesn't have the funding to add said space, then there is nothing left to do but let the lesser offenders go. Crimes against humanity come first, not crimes against property. Taking a car is in NO WAY comperable to taking a life, or taking someone's innocence.

I'll agree with what he said. I'm sure the police officer would love to lock the kid up and throw away the key because can you imagine how angry you would be if you let someone go and they were back in? I suggest you write the mayor and talk about your issues. If the citizens of your community paid for more jails and opted for stricter laws this could all be avoided.
