you want more torque ...change cams You will not get more torque just changing exhaust header or catback .... why ? is simply becuse stock EX cam is only 240 deg duration and according stock cam spec IN/EX 119/113 CL (252/240 deg duration ) is not enough for good dynamic exhaust pulse |

thanks guys, so stock springs are ok, just dont beyond 11.3 lift, i will try to find a good machine shop that can do the regrinds, thingking just 272deg with 10.5mm lift, how about cam gears, is it useless to use bigger values i looking if i can mill the TB will not go itbs for now, what is a good piggyback system that a can use? my 3sge cam from a JDM automatic, is it true that the intake cam of an 3sge 3rd gen auto is 240deg 8.7mm lift than the manual 252deg with a 9.8 or like what you said 10.115mm, havent opened it yet, i got the engine with out tranny about regrinds - new-cam-profile must be prepared by professional engine engineer , designed and calculated for specific engine (my friend who did it for me have 30 years experiences in preparing racing engines , he designed cams and head for soda FABIA S2000 , 2L NA ,results 295hp 260Nm ) - even some one will prepare cam-profile Im sure You will not get 272deg from 240 automatic stock cams - find good machine shop for this task ![]() GOOD LUCK .. manual saying that Intake cam lift is 9.8mm correct ? ![]() true is 10.115mm ..... (profile measured deg by deg to 0.001mm) So You can read about ..... I prefer to check it ![]() |

-re-griding is safe , I did it on my beams too already 10000km on this set -stock rev3 valves , -compression test showing 232PSI -megaquirt2 - no problems at all -Trq from 4500rpm up more than 200Nm only on cams and head-work (with stock intake and exhaust) 200hp+ -will put fresh dyno results soon with hks exhaust-header and ITB Project is ongoing ,3 engines are already running on different specification: 1. upgraded head and cams (stock exhaust + intake ) only piggyback for fuel correction and stock ecu (at 7500rpm 197hp, 208Nm@5000rpm ) 2. upgraded head and cams + megaquirt2 + custom intake (will make fresh dyno this weekend ) 3. upgraded head and cams + megaquirt2 + hks exhaust header + custom ITB 4x45mm (ITB in progress after that will make dyno ) |

I did upgrade of 3 rev3 engines -cams 278deg 11.2mm lift (custom profile ,re-griding) - CR 11.8 (head work incl. valves seat griding) -SA ecu (megasquirt2 ) rev 8100 rpm as option: - custom calculated intake manifold with TB 75mm - custom ITB 4x45mm (calculated for new cams setting) - hks exhaust header (2nd hand ) set: -full prepared head with cams (CR11.8 , new cams incl.valve lash etc) 1000USD - wiring for megasquirt2 + fuel/ignition maps (all setting) 300USD |

to get good gain on 3s-ge you need : - new cams - compression up - fuel and ignotion tuning (SA ecu or piggyback) - new Intake manifold or ITB designed for new cams, stock is bad ( I tested on dyno ) - new Exhaust header or just new Y-pipe (2-1) stock is restriction - move REV to 8200 rpm I have it done on 3s-ge rev3 and rev4 red-top 3s-ge rev3 stage1 : CR 12:1 customs cams IN/EX 278 deg 11.2mm + fuel and ignotion tuning , piggyback 3s-ge rev3 stage2 : new exhaust , new Intake manifold (currently testing new itb ) , IN PROGRESS still testing |

wow 278deg on a BEAMS your not running VVTI still are you? what else is done to the rev3 3S to get get the +200BHP? I'd would like more details and dyno runs if you have them? yes 278 deg with overlaping 61-75 deg (so vvti restricted to 14 deg ) more details about Beams in my profile . Rev3 : - customs cams (overlaping 70 deg ) - CR up - piggyBack - fuel and Ign correction till now exhaust and intake all ..stock Working on upgrade intake header and exhaust .... Results will provide soon .... |

I have my custom made cams for beams 278deg 11.2mm and I used same for 3s-ge rev3 making 200hp+ with great torque 200Nm from 4700rom flat till end currently 7500rpm (will be 8200rpm ) so if You want do 5S-GE use 5S block with my set: custom cams + 3s-ge rev3 head (prepared for 11.8 CR ) for this setup I can provide You more parts ITB 4x45mm Y-pipe calculated for new cams setting |

You dont need celica beams cluster or rpm guge .... can be stock and for convert signal use : SGI-8D http://www.dakotadigital.com/pdf/sgi-8d.pdf I did it , working well for beams ECU |
