Hey, ive never done a sound system before, but i have two 12" JL Audio 12W0 8ohm subs. What need know is what kind of amp i would need to run these. Would a JL Audio 250/1 work? Im just a little thrown off by the 8ohm aspect of the subs. And how many channels i would need on the amp if i just wanted to run the subs. If anyone could give me a little info, and help clarify some things for me thatd be great. smile.gif

that, or buy a set of alpine 6.5" type-s's because the come w/speaker adapters.

thats what i got and the adapters are from a 3 hole to a 4 hole instead of a 4 hole to a 4 hole wink.gif

then just drill new holes

if i could of, i would of. the adapters they come with dont fit, and modification wont help.

this is my first time doing any audio work and im trying to fit some new speakers, i know this has been covered many times before and the mounts are much bigger than the speakers, but how did you all fit new speakers in? i have 6.5s btw. did you make a custom braket or did you buy an adapter, what are my options? if i make something work it would be best, i dont really have time to wait for shipping lol. someone point me in right direction...thanks smile.gif

2) both quarter panels look like total crap because the previous owner had put 1/5" of bondo on it to fix the waves in it

what do you do about that?
