I have a 94 Celica GT that was bought wrecked. I need the airbags, especially the driver's side, before my dad will let me out of the driveway!! I also need the driver's side bright headlight.

Just FYI... anytime you increase combustion chamber heat (increased comp, turbo/supercharger, etc...) you should decrease spark heat and increase octane to reduce detonation.

yea...ive always run 93 in mine since the CR is so high from the factory...so no biggie there.but in the 5sfe it would take a LOT to make any kind of n/a power so im sure i dnt need colder plugs...preciate all the advice tho.

You put 1 step COLDER plugs in when you INCREASE HP.
and you don't need to go 1 step until you have increased ~50hp.

going hotter = wrong direction

ive always hear hotter plugs are better for N/A motors but i gues not...ill go get some stock plugs and c wat happens...thanx.

what do you have, what have you done?

just been rebuilt...

Head:

Port and polish
3angle valve job
and its been decked

and the block has been bored .040
it has ~10.5- 11-1 compression.

besides that...everything is just new...
i have an SAFC to tune w/ but i wouldnt think id have to do much tuning for it to run good? right?

Tuning it will make a difference, but you will have to buy a wideband to get the right AFR throughout the power band.

-Matt

so u dnt think the plugs r my problem? jus needs to b tuned.

dw guys i found a piston kit for the na mr 5sfe egine im sure it will fit our 5sfe celica engine to.. i message the seller he siad about $1800 au dollars to ship over..
includes 5SFE JE Turbo Piston Se,t 5SFE Forged 4340 Con Rod Set, 5SFE ARP Head Stud Set, 5SFE MLS Head Gasket.. is it a good deal or what?

www.importperformanceparts.net.....they can do a custom rod and piston combo w/e compression ratio you want for 500 for the pistons and rings and im not 100% sure abt. the rods but they prolly around the same...so less than 1200 for everything! its a real good deal i think.
