Ok 7afte-ers or actually this is a good topic for anyone with experience with engine building. My 7afe is torn apart right now awaiting a rebuild. its getting a nice shiny set or arias pistons, new bearings and seals for the entire engine. But my real topic is . . . What do you think should be done to a motor that is being converted to forced induction? were talking internals here . . . increasing VE, decreasing compression, valve angling I wanna hear some ideas on how to make my engine run as efficiently as possible.

Ok . . . im trying to pull my engine and tranny for a major overhaul and i got stuck i need help bad!!! i got everything detached from the engine (wires, cables, hoses, ect) but when i started to lift the engine it seems like theres not enough room to clear the flywheel from the transmission housing. ive tried to move it every which way to shimmy it out with no success. So after this i decided i would try to drop the tranny since i have to do some work on it anyways, so im in the process of that right now but i ran into 2 problems, the 2 cables on the back of the transmission wont come off and i cant get the axels to release from the tranny. If any body out there knows the trick to dropping a tranny and pulling an engine on a 7afe PLEASE!!!! help me this is driving me crazy!!!!!

I don't know if your talking about a valve angle job, a valve angle job helps to give a better seal at the top of the lift, and also helps to increase velocity of flow. and if thats what your talking about then i highly recommend, not doing it yourself. Theres a lot of work that goes into angling valves and most shops wont tell you what angles they use. my advise is if this is what your asking about, then let a pro do it, youll end up saving your self alot of headache and prob money.
