This is actually not 6gc related, just figured I'd hit you guys up on here because I consider this forum my home. I'm using a corolla fuse box for my standalone ls1 harness for my 260z.

I ended up buying another Toyota main relay that had the same 4 prong setup for the fuse box. Tested it with my meter and a battery. I'm golden now. Thanks for your guys' help.

Okay since its a normally closed relay how would I wire it up for a main feed relay set-up?

I want to use it as a main relay. That's a bummer. Hoping I could use it for that.

Got this relay and I need to figure out which prong is 30,87,86, and 85. I have continuity at the top right prong to bottom left prong. And I also have continuity at top left with bottom left. Confused as to how I would wire up this relay.

Back of the sill. Outer edge would be nice. The front wouldn't be bad to have too as an additional measurement.

Plan on an exo skeleton build. Along the line of an ariel atom replica but with a longitudinally mounted 1uz with itb's.

Well it'll actually be more like a bac mono but with 2 seats like the atom. I've got some of the suspension bits figured out already. The 1uz build is what's bugging me. I originally wanted a 1uz with twin turbos but worried that it'll be too much for that light of a car.

no other forums is like this one. I feel more at home here since this was actually the first forum i have ever joined. Well like the title says. I'm searching for some info about the 2 engines. Mainly dealing with the combustion chambers. I need to know how big the 2uz combustion chamber actually is compared to its counterpart.

I'm praying someone has a 2uz cylinder head laying around to give me some accurate measurements. If all else fails I'll end up buying a complete 2uz to tear apart and find out for myself. Just trying to avoid spending the money where its not needed is all.

Thanks, Will

P.S. Its good to be back home.

You may have upset the cars brake bias by a lot. Especially if its biting that hard at 50% brake pressure. Best that you upgrade the rears for safety. I wonder if there's a different car out there with bigger master for a stiffer brake feel like the mr2's. the 4runner 1-1/16" master bolts right on.

Which year/model 4runner master fits? Is it indeed larger?

QUOTE (delusionz @ Mar 6, 2013 - 11:38 PM) *
do u have ABS? what do you mean by noisy?

technically with a lighter car you should have better stopping power than the original gt4 hmm

yeah the brakes are good enough to lock up the wheels haha

Nope, I don't have ABS. I think the original owner custom ordered the car. It's fully loaded feature wise, but seems like certain things were excluded on purpose ex:abs and sunroof.

I've been getting more used to the brakes for sure. They slow down initially like the stock brakes, but when you press further they slow much faster.

The noise I'm hearing is when I hit the brakes. Pads aren't seated yet, but it just sounds like pad on rotor shenanigans. kinda like running the blade of a knife over a knife sharpener.

I would love to upgrade the rears really soon. I already have a gt4 brake proportioning valve, but i don't want to put it on until the set up is complete.

I'm just having trouble finding the rears for a decent price.

I meant that the 4runner master bolts right onto the mr2's. I believe the st205 master is 15/16" not quit sure what ours are. But to be safe I would do the st205 rear brakes also.

After totaling another celica by deer, I'm just gonna patiently wait for a rust free chassis.

Find out the transmission code that you have for the st182. If its an S53 transmission you cannot just use a clutch kit meant for a gt-four or mr2 turbo. Now you can get fidenza flywheels for the enigne you have. Just order a clutch kit for a st182 problem solved. Just realized st182 came standard with a 3sge.

You cant install the 5s kit because the pressure plate wont bolt onto the 3s flywheel. Forgot to mention that the flywheels aren't the same. You can Call ACT clutch and have them do a custom setup for you. 5s clutch disc 3s pressure plate.

The spline is much bigger on the "E" series trannies vs the "S" series. So the clutch disc won't interchange. If you install the st185 clutch kit the s53 trans spline will be spinning around like a hot dog in a hallway. You can buy a 3sgte pressure plate and 5s clutch disc that would work. Or talk to doc tweak he carries competition clutches for swaps.

If you're serious about tracking the car instead of using the brake combo you plan on running you can go bigger rotors by switching to a 5x114 lug pattern. The Lexus is350 I believe have 332mm front rotors. Or even use the supra tt front rotor 325mm. The rav4 shares the same wheel bearing as our fronts all you need to do is buy the rav4 5x114 hub and press that bad boy in.

But then again you'll run into the gt-four caliper not spaced out far enough for the larger rotors. kindasad.gif that's why I still intend on using my ls430 calipers I have laying around after all the years for a custom setup on the car.
