I don't have rockauto around here but regardless, I figured one from a auto parts store would be close to $100+..

I'll look into that option.

$40 from AutoZone, thanks smile.gif

I have the igniter, just need a coil. I'm not sure which ones are interchangeable. I'm using a 3SGTE coil now and it works (doesn't fit the coil wire well) but getting misfire code due to it I presume..

I brought the car to my local town fair tire, they didn't check any parts of the car other than the alignment hardware. I recently replaced a passenger CV axle that had badly torn boots. Rear mount seems fine, OEM and not in terrible condition, front mount was poly filled or something, not the prettiest but I don't see that being an issue, I could be wrong I guess.

While driving, I'm experiencing a shaking when under load, more noticeable on the highway. Shake resembles tires that are out of balance but I just had an alignment done and the wheels balanced last week, no change. More throttle = more shaking.

It's quite odd.. Any ideas?

I just bought the car last month and I'm trying to work out the bugs to get it to ride better.

I've got a bunch of gt4 parts from a project that Im not going to use. None may even be useful to you but figured I'd offer them here before throwing the away. Here's a list of the goodies...

Blower section ( 3 piece' AC / Heat)
Radiator with fans
Abs module with lines
Power steering pump with lines
Sunroof with slightly cracked glass
Headliner with sunroof cutout
Superstrut setup (ksport coilovers are shot but do have the front ss struts plus a spare)
Oil cooler
Sun visors
Fuel tank sending unit
Mud flaps (pair, black)

I'm not interested in shipping since most items are fairly large, also because I think these won't be of any use to anyone but worth mentioning it anyway. Email is quickest way to respond. Clescell@yahoo.com

Thanks.

Hey guys, many of you have seen my threads either here or alltrac.net over the last few years but it's time to part with the project. She is complete and runs well. I will not go into too much detail, I will leave that for the phone calls. I will let the pictures do most of the talking for now.

I will sell the car outright is there is interest but I think I would rather sell the car without the power package since I can use that in my new project and it will also make the car much cheaper to sell, but, I WILL NOT part it out unless I have a buyer for the chassis one way or another, bare chassis, rolling chassis, or with parts, doesn't matter but the chassis has to go first. Now that that's said, starting price for the complete car is $15k. Package deals can be worked out no problem.

A few bullet points are as followed.

1991 GT

All paint and body work done professionally a few years ago, all rust and rot on the body and wheel wells has been taken care of. There may be a few spots underneath but nothing that needs attention.

Motor is a 2nd gen 3sgte, fully built, solara/camry v6 trans, ACT unsprung clutch and HKS chromoly flywheel.

Garrett GT3567R turbo which will unfortunately need a rebuild, if even possible. It has shaft play, not sure how bad but it's def there. I planned on downgrading to a 30R so this wasn't a huge issue to me.

KSport suspension. Fully welded guesseted roll cage (6-8pt). Non adjustable fiberglass racing seats with 3" harness'

AEM EMS tuned to a little over 300hp on 10lbs of boost.

No AC, heat or power steering but wiring harness (engine and interior) is still fully uncut I believe.

Any questions, please e-mail me at clescell@yahoo.com and I can provide you my phone number from there. Located in Enfield CT, about 10 min from the Springfield MA border.

Awesome, thanks a lot guys! That's a pretty gnarly kit, I wonder if it's all custom. I love the slightly wider chassis, some of the kit is a bit too flashy for me but it's amazing work none the less smile.gif

I have seen it before, just didn't recognize the rear end I guess tongue.gif

I'd love to find out how/what he used for the wider rear end...

Ok, thanks for the info guys. I'm not stuck on that lip though, so it's not a heartbreaker if I can't snag one smile.gif

How do I search for European parts at my local US dealer? The letter/number part numbers don't work in their computer but it seems that folks in the US can somehow look up these parts. If it matters, I'm specifically looking for the European under spoiler that may not be available anyway but I figured it might be worth a shot.

Thanks smile.gif

Ok, so I'm researching coilovers for my converted gt4. I was looking for suggestions on spring rates. I'm leaning toward BC Coilovers and they offer many spring rates, stock are somewhere around 8k front and 5k rear. Car won't be built specifically for the track but I do want to lower it quite a bit and still handle well. Should I go for a stiffer than stock setup?

As far as damping, what's the difference between stiffer springs and a stiffer damper?

I also remember reading about people using stiffer springs in the back, I don't remember if this was on RWD cars sprcifically but I'm wondering if the same principal applies to AWD.
